If you haven't gotten hooked on Hoonigan's YouTube videos yet, it could be for a variety of reasons. Maybe you think the incessant donuts and "scumbag" antics are tiring. When it comes to cheap British roadsters, the newer the car, the more you get for your money. The Ford Granada was one of those Malaise-era downsized cars that still managed to look huge while being marketed as a "compact." If you're not watching the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, then you're missing out. The Mitsubishi Delica was a compact Japanese van with unibody construction, a mid-engine RWD or 4WD drivetrain, and a smattering of engine options. These were sold in North America under the creative model names Van and Wagon, and only lasted a few years here (1987-1990). Those were basic cargo and people mover versions, but if Mitsu had offered us the full-on 4WD turbodiesel Delica in this market, they might have been as common as 4Runners and Cherokees. Ford sure got a lot of mileage out of the Fox platform, pumping out the same basic car under dozens of different nameplates, shapes, and trim levels starting in 1979.
