In Scandinavian folklore, trolls are ugly, evil, dangerous giants that lived in caves and roamed the countryside at night. Trolls liked to eat humans, or if they weren't hungry, throw stones at people and descry their villages. Nowadays trolls roam the internet at night and make life difficult for the thin skinned and easily offended. Either way, an odd choice for a product name. The sixth generation Ford F-series (1972-1979) featured new boxy-styled sheet metal that wasn't much different from the car it replaced, aside from the items required for safety -- but one of the biggest changes was the extensive use of galvanized thick sheet metal, which is why you see scores of these still driving on the road today. It is almost an automotive cliche to turn a Pontiac Fiero into something more exotic and flashy. Ferrari and Lamborghini body swaps seem to be the most common ones. The Fiero's plastic body panels made the car perfect for this sort of thing. General Motors made a dizzying number of powerful front wheel drive 4-6-8 cylinder engines that are ripe for swapping into the Fiero platform.
