Seller Submission: 1988 SAAB 900 Turbo

The Saab 900 Classic, built from 1978 through 1994, was the final evolution of Saab's wacky backwards-engine compact luxury cruiser that started way back in 1968 with the release of the Saab 99.  Don't be fooled by the later GM rebadged Opel/Vauxhall/Saturn abomination that later used the 900 badge -- because there was only one real Saab 900. Find this 1988 Saab 900 Turbo offered for $3,500 in Seattle, WA via craigslist. Seller submission from AB.

Seller Submission: 1985.5 Porsche 944

This next car comes as a seller submission from DT regular Michael who writes: My son is selling his 1985.5 Porsche 944. This car has a sunroof, extra snow tires, original wheels, and of course the Fun Pedal. This is a wonderful driver’s car in reasonably good condition inside and out. Before we purchased the car last August the previous owner put about $5,000 into the car in maintenance items including all of the important stuff. We have those receipts in hand. That work was all done by a local Porsche-specific shop. My son and I also replaced the front control arm ball joints using the Pelican Parts kit. This car is way more fun to drive than it really has any business being. While we have enjoyed owning this car the boy can’t afford any more traffic tickets. Find this 1985.5 Porsche 944 offered for $6,500 in Mahtomedi, WI via craigslist.

Seller Submission: 1991 BMW M5 E34

The E34 generation BMW M5 has been a favorite around this site, mostly because it offers a level of speed and exclusivity that is hard to beat. And if you don't remember, DT's own CFlo owned an E34 M5 for a few years and loved every minute of the screaming inline-6 powered beast.  Today's E34M5 comes as a seller submission from our friend Jay who offers it somewhere in the mid range of what you'd expect for this car to bring at a BaT auction. Find this 1991 BMW M5 E34 offered for $21,500 in Los Angeles, CA via craigslist.

I'm a daily lurker on your site and wondered if this was something that fits. Would love for the car to go to a fellow enthusiast.  Find this 2001 Lexus IS300 Turbo offered for $7,500 in Plymouth, MI via craigslist.

Seller Submission: 2004 Volvo V70R

Volvo wagons had always been "cool" to drive around since the 1927 Volvo PV4 hit the streets with a thin diagonal rod holding the "iron mark" emblem in front of the grill.  The PV444 added to that coolness with a modern style wagon and you can't forget the iconic boxy body 145/245/740/940/850 wagons of the past few decades.  You couldn't really call any of them fast....at least not compared to any of their competition.  That all changed with the release of the 2004 model year Volvo V70R that combined a healthy turbocharged 300 horsepower 5-cylinder engine with all-wheel-drive, so you could have your cake and go really fast with it too.  Find this 2004 Volvo V70R offered for $6,500 in Burlingame, CA via craigslist.  Seller submission from Leon.

Seller Submission: 1987 Mazda RX-7 LT1 V8

(Update 5/30/2018, the beast is still for sale with new lower price of $5900). The second (technically third) generation (FC) Mazda RX-7 debuted in 1986 with new streamlined styling and more power from the available Wankel rotary engines.  For the first time in the US market, a turbocharged version was available, but the chassis featured the same fantastic reflexes and sporty seating....but power/torque from the Wankel isn't going to excite anyone in the 21st century...but a turbocharged V8 version with 500 whp might make an impression.  Find this 1987 Mazda RX-7 LT1 V8 offered for $8,000 here on DailyTurismo from seller Ahmad (see final paragraph of listing for seller contact info).

Seller Submission: 1981 Mercedes-Benz 240D W123

This next car is a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 240D located in NYC that comes as a seller submission from Jeremy who writes: Yes, it has rust in the fenders and bottom of drivers door. Yes, it has some blowby. Yes the clearcoat is peeling, the paint is original, it has a couple inexplicable dents. The glow plugs are 14 years old and probably need to be replaced. It started in 5 degree weather this winter without a block heater.

However, I did a huge amount of preventative maintenance so my ex could take our kid around safely and I did not have to hear about any breakdowns or failures on my behalf. Please review ad for brief summary of work done to make this a reality.

It is a driver, good from 10-15 feet if you squint, depending on the light. But the A/C blows cold, every little thing works on it besides cruise control, which works sometimes, if you are comfortable using a 40 year old manually actuated cruise control. Also the Becker stereo eats tapes or alternately vomits them back out. The AM/FM works beautifully, antenna goes up and down every time. I drove it 350 miles on Saturday morning and it returned 30mpg.

Seller Submission: 1992 Saab 9000 Turbo

The Saab 9000 was the final vehicle designed in house at Saab and brought to market by the funky Scandinavian OEM before it was fully acquired by the machine known as General Monster...I mean Motors. The 9000 was built on the Saab/Fiat type 4 platform (1984-1998 Lancia Thema, Saab 9000, Fiat Croma, Alfa Romeo 164) and features executive class luxury, front drive safety, and Giorgetto Giugiaro styling...and the best part is that they are cheap and easy to modify to go fast.  Find this 1992 Saab 9000 Turbo offered for $1500 firm (12/28/2017, price reduced) via the grassrootsmotorsports classified forums and here on DT.

You know what is a good deal?  A running/driving plus sized extended cab pickup truck that can purchased for less than a cost of a new iPhone X.  From the seller, Art: I have a spare truck I'm selling, perfect for someone who needs a winter beater!! Throw some shqows on the back, 300lbs of sand in the bed and drive sideways!!!  Enthusiast worked on it, dead reliable just needs a few parts to run perfect (<$100).  Find this 1988 Ford F150 offered for $900 near Tiverton, RI via craigslist.

Seller Submission: 1974 Jaguar XJ12 V8

The series 2 Jaguar XJ was updated from the series 1 in 1974 with the blessing of Jaguar's founder Sir William Lyons who is quoted as calling the XJ "the finest Jaguar ever made."  Of course Sr William would be rolling around in his grave (he is dead right...would be embarrassing if he was cruising around Nottingham eating steak and kidney pie...or whatever) if he knew this thing was powered by a cast iron lump of push rod equipped 'Murican arhn.  Find this 1974 Jaguar XJ12 V8  here on eBay bidding for $5,000 with 3 days to go located in Moorpark, CA. Seller submission from Dan.

Seller Submission: 1970 Porsche 914

The Porsche 914 was originally conceived as a dual purpose range topping Volkswagen and low-end Porsche, to replace the Karmann-Ghia and 912 respectively...but it was a such a nice car that Porsche's brass wouldn't let it be stuck with the VW badge...and the rest is history.  Find this 1970 Porsche 914 offered for $14,000 in SF Bay Area, CA via craigslist.

Seller Submission: 2000 Chevrolet Corvette C5

Bumped back to the top of the page! The C5 generation Corvette was a huge leap forward compared to the C4 generation -- and not just because the new LS-series V8 was more powerful, or that the interior was nicer, but most importantly, the chassis was rigid and thoroughly modern. Find this 2000 Chevrolet Corvette C5 offered for $10,950 in Capitola, CA via craigslist.  Seller submission from Tim.

Seller Submission: 2002 Porsche Boxster S

Seller Submission from Rod: I am submitting for your consideration my 2002 Boxster S 6spd. Asking price is $11k OBO (on the low end of Good and Fair on Hagerty's scale). The car has been fantastic and driven pretty sparingly. The only reason that I am selling is that I picked up a 996 and I want the Boxster to go to a fellow driving enthusiast.

Seller Submission: 2001 BMW M3 Convertible E46

BMW's E46 generation 3-series was an excellent driver's car in the cheapest of trims, but it becomes a complete beast in the snarling inline-6 equipped M3 version.  If you are looking for a topless 2+2 with a 6-speed manual that is brutally fast for less than $10k, it doesn't get much better than an E46 M3.  Find this 2001 BMW M3 Convertible E46 offered via seller submission from Justin.

Attention To Detail: 1974 Porsche 914

A few years ago we featured the reader ride of a guy named KC who built this incredible Toyota Twin-Cam powered MGB GT and it was glorious.  Apparently KC built another car with an above average attention to detail -- this time a Porsche 914 with an underside that is cleaner than a newborn in a fresh pair of Pampers.  Find this 1974 Porsche 914 here on eBay bidding for $11,300 with 6 days to go, located in Mosier, OR.  Seller submission from KC.

Seller Submission: 1990 Audi 200 Quattro Avant Wagon

The wagon isn't dead, it is just taking a nap while dinner is cooking in the kitchen and soon the smoke alarm will blare with an urgency that can ONLY mean the wagon will return to showrooms around the world.  Until that happens, if you want your wagon fix, you will need to buy used, like this 1990 Audi 200 Quattro Avant Wagon offered for $2,500 in Seymour, IN via craigslist.  Seller submission from GS.

Seller Submission: 2000 Suzuki SV-650

In 1999 Suzuki introduced the SV-650 as a budget entry to the naked bike market with power from a 90-degree V-twin, but it was anything but budget when it came to technology. With dual-overhead cams and 4-valves per cylinder the 645cc V-twin pushed 69 horsepower into a competent suspension for a surprisingly good overall ride...and you could get it with a fairing if the nekkid bike thing wasn't your thing.  Find this 2000 Suzuki SV-650 offered for $2,200 in Bloomington, CA via craigslist.  Seller submission from Andy.
