A 1939 Chevy rebodied with a... 1991 Geo Metro?!?

This next car comes as a tip from Matt C who writes: If I needed to say something nice about it, I'd say that it succeeds much better than attempting to make a 1957 Chevy out of a 2002 Camaro. And it is probably considerably more exciting to drive then when (a small portion of) it rolled off the line in 1991. Find this 19XX hot rod offered for $8000 in Wilmot, WI via craigslist.

Coronapocalypse Ready: 1978 Custom Built Tank

Okay, if the Chevy Grunt (whatever that means) we posted early today is too wussy for your redneck inner self, then this next vehicle hits all of the right buttons for a gun slinger, tank commander, or urban prepper.  All I can say is; that rotating cannon better be fully functioning. Find this 1978 Custom Built Tank offered for $5500 in Cummings, GA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

A What Now? 1987 Chevy Grunt

If you are thinking of living in a car when the economy crashes due to the COVID-19 and you've got a Fiat 500...you might want to trade up to something bigger.  You'll need something with back seats for your belongings, families, or hostages.  You'll also need something that can do some mild off roading if it gets ugly out there.  And you'll want something that you'll never lose in a parking lot.  Find this 1987 Chevy Grunt offered for $19,500 outside Tucson, AZ via craigslist. Tip from JB1025.

Happy Halloween: 1966 Buick Sport Wagon

The original Buick Sport Wagon was built on GM's A-Body platform shared with the Skylark and Special...but also the Chevrolet Chevelle, Malibu, El Camino, and Oldsmobile Cutlass, F-85...oh boy...we could be here for a while, let me skip to the end...the Buick Sport Wagon shared most of its bits with the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, including the sweet sweet vista windows that help rear passengers get sunburn on long drives and are impossible to replace if one cracks...so this next car is probably worth more for the glass than anything.  But the rust makes it a legitimate horrorod.  Happy Halloween! Find this 1966 Buick Sport Wagon here on eBay bidding for $1,375 with buy-it-now of $1800 located in Pembina, ND.

Happy Halloween: 1966 Chevrolet Corvair V8 versus 1984 Pontiac Fiero V8

Happy Halloween!! On today's episode of What'll Kill You Quicker, we've got a'66 Corvair that's been de-clawed of its oversteer prone swing-axle suspension, but it is now sporting a front mounted V8 and enough custom shenanigans to keep you guessing the next failure mode for years...versus an '84 Fiero that has 20 year newer safety technology...but is still a plastic bodied piece of mid engined junk that now has a giant V8 shoved right behind your soft and squishy mammalian cortex.  What'll Kill You Quickest?

Horrorods: Fiero vs Jeep vs Civic

In preparation for Halloween, I present this next Horrorod feature with words and tips from Matt C. What could be scarier than a sub-$1000 V12 Jaguar? How about taking over a project where somebody else threw a random pile of parts together and didn't quite get it finished? Here's a trio of sketchy Frankenstein builds!

G35X Powertrain Swapped: 1972 Datsun 521 Pickup

The Infiniti G35 we posted the other day was well received because it combines the best characteristics of a reliable modern car with a nicely depreciated price curve.  The only thing it was missing was the cool factor of a moderately rusty pickup truck exterior...oh...here we go, another horrorod. Find this 1972 Datsun 521 Pickup with G35X powertrain offered for $6900 in Denver, CO via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Horrorod Festival:1987 Chevrolet Caprice

The Horrorod as defined by Daily Turismo as: Any customized vehicle that makes you want to huddle up in the fetal position and cry.  As Halloween approaches, we prepare for our annual Festival of Horrorods the only way we know how...which is to post more Horrorods.  It is a vicious circle of horror, but I'm not going to stop it.  If I try to stop, the clown will eat me.  Find this 1987 Chevrolet Caprice offered for $2,500 in Bend, OR via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Another Batmobile: 1967 Cadillac Eldorado

The Cadillac Eldorado was a gigantic front wheel drive personal luxury coupe that started life in 1967, although the name Eldorado was used on a convertible halo car as part of the series 62 platform starting way back in 1953.  The big front drive under-steering boat won't impress anyone with its RV handling characteristics, but trying to nail apexes with any full sized 'Merican car from the late 60s is like trying to rope and hog-tie a woolly mammoth while riding naked on a giraffe.  It sounds like a great idea on paper, but once you get all slathered up in like a petroleum slip-n-slide, you realize it was a horrible mistake.  The same goes for building a custom bizarro car -- once you've created a custom Batmobile, you'll regret it after you sober up. Find this 1967 Cadillac Eldorado here on eBay offered for $9,999 in San Diego, CA.

Nine Five...Nein! 1973 Porsche 911 Custom Limo

Wow.  I made a request for Horrorods the other day and BAM -- you guys delivered.  This next one is scarier than Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un taking a strawberry scented bubble bath with Putin, Trump, and Hillary.  Find this 1973 Porsche 911 Custom Limo offered for $24,500 in Silverlake, CA via craigslist.  Tip from Sean S.

Happy Halloween: 2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Turbo

This next Horrorod comes from DT tipper Michael who writes: Right color and it makes 'turbo noises'.  So true! It is also a great smoke machine for your Halloween party. Find this 2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Turbo offered for $2500 in Pueblo, CO via craigslist.

Ghoulicious: 1960 Morris Minor 1000

Happy Halloween DT readers, we here in the DT HQ hope you are enjoying the festival of All-Hallows'-Eve.  Today is the day when kids dress up as their favorite super hero, young adults dress down in sexy fill-in-the-blank costumes, and all people subsidize the candy, dental, and insulin industries -- basically a win-win-win for everybody!  Here, we celebrate Halloween with ghoulish rides like this 1960 Morris Minor 1000 offered for $2250 in Dublin, CA via craigslist.

Saturday Screamer: 1955 Diamond T Rat Rod

File this next classic car find under the heading "I don't know what it is...but I like it!"  And for some stranger reason, the seller isn't asking some ridiculous amount of money for his...umm...thing.  Yeah.  Does it float? Find this 1955 Diamond T Rat Rod offered for $6,500 near Cincinnati, OH via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Hold On Here: 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza (mid-engine V8)

The term "oh pooh" handle is welcome addition to the passenger side a-pillar to many modern vehicles -- typically SUV's and the sort that might induce pants staining excitement near the edge of a cliff...but I've never seen a full BMX bike style handlebar setup for the passenger until this mid-engine Corvair hit our tips inbox.  Find this 1964 Corvair Monza (mid-engine V8) offered for $14000 in Las Vegas, NV via craigslist.  Tip from Rock On!

Happy Halloween: 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Custom

Happy Halloween to all DT readers out there: Those who are still young enough to dress like a super hero, and those who are still young enough to dress like an idiot (male) or harlot(female) and, of course, those who are old enough to look like a ghoul without dressing up.  Today is the scariest day of the year, so I'll just put this 1995 Chevrolet Camaro custom here on eBay with a starting bid of $9,600 located in Stanley, NC.

Part Attack: 1984 Isuzu Impulse

This next car comes from Matt C who writes: OK, it's a non running car and not the easiest thing to get parts for... but it's a very cool '80s Italdesign styling exercise, and you'll have the only one on the road. If you get it on the road, that is. It is rear wheel drive with a wide engine bay, which would make it an interesting engine swap candidate.  Find this 1984 Isuzu Impulse offered for $800 in Atlanta, GA via craigslist.
