F-Body in Yellow: 1977 Chevrolet Camaro

The 2nd generation F-body Camaro was sold from 1970 through 1981 and has somehow avoided the massive price appreciation we've seen in various classic cars. Granted, many of the 2nd gen were built during the 70s fuel and emissions crises with under-powered engines, but they drive better than the original version and are stylistically superior to the 3rd gen...so enjoy them while they are cheap.  Find this 1977 Chevrolet Camaro offered for $12999 near Indianapolis, IN via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Does Not Compute: 2001 Chevrolet Camaro...70 Cuda Clone

This next car comes as a tip from Matt C who writes: This is a fourth generation Camaro that is trying to look like a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda; real price is $10,000. Seller says it is one of a kind, and I certainly hope so.  Yikes.  There is so much to ponder in this next craigslist advert.  I had to put down the keyboard...walk away...and come back a few hours later.  I'm still getting a divide by zero error. Its 2 parts awesome and 4 parts WHUT?  Find this 2001 Chevrolet Camaro...70 Cuda Clone offered for $10,000 in Atlanta, GA via craigslist.

Korvmaro Kustom: 1963 Chevrolet Corvair V8

The Corvair is one of the few aircooled classics from the 60s that you can buy for a reasonable amount of money and drive around everyday (helps if you live in a place that is easy on weather.)  It had an advanced independent rear suspension under that aircooled engine out back...but today everything is amok and this Corvair is powered by a front mounted small block V8 and features a stick beam rear axle!! I don't know if this is an upgrade or downgrade. Find this 1963 Chevrolet Corvair V8 offered for $16,500 in Longview, CA via craigslist.

Second Gen F-Body: 1974 Chevrolet Camaro

The second generation Chevrolet Camaro was released in 1970 as a car that was wider, longer, and lower that its predecessor.  Unfortunately the realities of the fuel crisis and increasing safety standards means it isn't as pretty or collectible as its older brother, but I find the later models cool to the bone. Find this 1974 Chevrolet Camaro offered for $6,400 in Norwalk, CA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Contempo Cantara: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro

I don't often stumble blindly into cars that I've never heard about, so this next one I almost dismissed as a hoax. But the trick of a good hoax is that it needs to be believable...and the Contempo Camaro is anything but.  Regardless, I used my favorite internet search site to find out that this is a 1 of 50 examples ever "produced"...or modified from the stock Camaro by Contempo Vans in Sun Valley, CA.  Seems like an interesting way to get a basic GM F-body with a crazy looking exterior that isn't just another screw-on FastnFurious body kit...mostly. Find this 1986 Chevrolet Camaro Cantara offered for $5000 in Portland, OR via craigslist.

Seriously Low Miles: 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

A 1982 Z28 isn't the most collectable car on the planet...or even on the average block in the USA.  Trust me, I should know, I owned one a few years ago -- it wasn't a bad car, but they are commonplace and not that special...in fact, you'd need to have a Z28 with something like 10,000 miles on the odometer to make an impression on the average car geek. Find this 1982 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 offered for $9,500 in York, PA via craigslist.  Tip from Jeff.

LT1 6-Speed: 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

While the later LS1 powered Camaro (launched in 1998) might get all the glory for being the cheapest way to go fast..but there was an older Camaro that was almost as fast and also available with a 6-speed gearbox.  Find this 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 offered for $4000 in Los Banos, CA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

What Would Niccolò Drive? 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Machiavelli Kit Car

Niccolò Machiavelli is best known for his work titled "The Prince" which was a treatise on ruling the underclasses, which it wasn't published until 5 years after his death and didn't become famous until years later (but the book published during his lifetime was his dialogue called "The Art of War").  Today, we present a car that was also underappreciated in its time, but is getting more attention in the afterlife. Find this 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Machiavelli Kit Car offered for $12000 in Wasilla, AK via craigslist.  Tip from Zach Z.

We Love The 80's: 1987 Chevy Camaro Iroc Z

Now is a good time as any to get into a third generation Chevy Camaro or Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am.  In recent years, the Smokey and the Bandit 1970's cars have seen some strong appreciation so bargain third gens are still out there.  The Iroc-Z is a icon of the 1980's and boasted a real racing heritage.  These Camaro's duked it out with the 5.0 Mustangs for king of the streets in the late 1980's when engines awoke from malaise era induced fog.  The 5.0 305 Chevy V8 was and is second fiddle to the 350 5.7.  However, only the 305 was able be paired with a 5 speed manual and in 1987 it only had 10 less hp than the top rung 350  Find this 1987 Chevy Camaro Iroc Z for sale in Newtown, CT for an easy on the budget price of $2,500 via craigslist.

The Hard Way: 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Tom Henry RS

When given a choice, most people pick the easy way.  Lemme give you an example.  If you want to build a hot-rod late model F-body, start with a V8-6-speed Camero and start with some bolt on parts.  Go fast.  Have fun.  Or....you could chose door number two and end up being eaten by a lion buying a V6 version and modding the daylights out of it so it is only marginally slower than a stock V8.  Find this 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Tom Henry RS offered for $3995 in Goleta, CA via craigslist. Tip from Sean S.

Happy Halloween: 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Custom

Happy Halloween to all DT readers out there: Those who are still young enough to dress like a super hero, and those who are still young enough to dress like an idiot (male) or harlot(female) and, of course, those who are old enough to look like a ghoul without dressing up.  Today is the scariest day of the year, so I'll just put this 1995 Chevrolet Camaro custom here on eBay with a starting bid of $9,600 located in Stanley, NC.

Party Time: 1980 Chevrolet Camaro

This next car comes as a tip from Scott T who writes: This looks way nicer than it has any business being for 6k.  Obviously not a DD with that roll cage and racing seats.  Yup, Scott has it right, because this thing is way nice for the asking price if you ask me.  Find this 1980 Chevrolet Camaro with LS V8 offered for $6,000 in Boston, MA via craigslist.

Call Me Camero One More Time: 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

The last time I posted a low mile Chevrolet Camaro and had the gall to insinuate that the 3rd gen F-body was not yet (if ever gonna be) a collectible, I got the brunt end of some IROC hate.  Today, I'm not going to make that same mistake, and I'm only going to say nice things about this mullet-mobile.  Ooops.  Find this 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z here on eBay bidding for $10,107 with 1 day to go.

I Really Otherwise Can't: 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z

Museum Ad nauseam: 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Base

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The only low mile & reasonably priced examples of any cars are always going to be equipped with the most undesirable of engine /transmission /trim /options.  I think if the car had been remotely fun or interesting to drive, the owner would have found some time to cruise around...but not today. .  Find this 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Base with 8,000 miles on the odometer offered for $6,500 in Cape Coral, FL via craigslist.  Tip from Dascpcu.
