The Plymouth Barracuda introduced the world to fastback shaped pony cars a full two weeks before Ford's Mustang was released in April 1964, but even hardcore Mopar enthusiasts will agree that it is a good thing that the Mustang outsold the Barracuda by a landslide because otherwise we'd be left the strange term fishcar for sporty compact 2+2 fastback/coupes with long hood styling and rear-wheel-drive. Anyway, this pony car looks respectable for the price but it depends on the quality of that paint...if it is a cheap respray -- pass; but if the paint is original or a quality job, this is a winner. Find this 1965 Plymouth Barracuda offered for $7000 in Albuquerque, NM via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Sweet Fishcar: 1965 Plymouth Barracuda

Does Not Compute: 2001 Chevrolet Camaro...70 Cuda Clone
This next car comes as a tip from Matt C who writes: This is a fourth generation Camaro that is trying to look like a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda; real price is $10,000. Seller says it is one of a kind, and I certainly hope so. Yikes. There is so much to ponder in this next craigslist advert. I had to put down the keyboard...walk away...and come back a few hours later. I'm still getting a divide by zero error. Its 2 parts awesome and 4 parts WHUT? Won't Last: 1966 Plymouth Barracuda

The (Plymouth) Barracuda pre-dated the release of Ford's Mustang, but
they don't call the sporty 2+2 genre the 'Flesh-eating-fish-car'...it's
the Pony-car, probably because the Barracuda was not nearly as
successful from a sales perspective. However, driving a classic Barracuda todays says you've got taste and didn't just hit the "easy" button when selecting your ride. Find this 1966 Plymouth Barracuda offered for $8,000 in Western MA via craigslist. Tip from Jim H.Sunday, January 17, 2016
Needs A V8: 1965 Plymouth Barracuda

It's funny to think that Plymouth beat Ford to the pony car market in the mid 60s, but the original Barracuda hit showrooms (in April 1964) exactly two weeks before the Mustang. It was promptly slaughtered in the weekly sales figures but it offered a similar compact fastback with inline-6 and V8 optional power. Día de Muertos: 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda

It might be known as All Souls' Day up here in the Northern tip of the Americas, but south of the Rio Grande they call it Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead. So, let's take a quick trip to a few car graveyards and see what we can dig up. Like this 1970 Plymouth Cuda offered here on eBay

10k: Mopar Fastback: 1965 Plymouth Barracuda V8 318ci

The Plymouth Barracuda introduced the world to fastback shaped pony cars a full two weeks before Ford's Mustang was released in April 1964. It is a good thing that the Mustang outsold the Barracuda considerable because otherwise we'd be left the strange term fishcar for sporty compact 2+2 fastback/coupes with long hood styling and rear-wheel-drive. That wouldn't do at all. However, the Barracuda was a cool car and can be found for decent price, such as this 1965 Plymouth BarracudaTuesday, March 5, 2013
5k Flash: Burn, Burn, Burn, To The Wick ; 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback; Project
The Heart Song 'Barracuda' reached the 11th spot on the Billboard Top 100 in 1977 and despite what you may think, has nothing to do with the Plymouth Barracuda. The (Plymouth) Barracuda pre-dated the release of Ford's Mustang, but they don't call the sporty 2+2 genre the 'Flesh-eating-fish-car'...it's the Pony-car, probably because the Barracuda was not nearly as successful from a sales perspective. But don't let the lack of buyers when new dissuade you from picking up a classic 2nd generation 'Cuda. Find this 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback project for sale in El Paso, TX, currently bidding at $3,200 on ebay with 2 days to go.
