The Plymouth Barracuda introduced the world to fastback shaped pony cars a full two weeks before Ford's Mustang was released in April 1964, but even hardcore Mopar enthusiasts will agree that it is a good thing that the Mustang outsold the Barracuda by a landslide because otherwise we'd be left the strange term fishcar for sporty compact 2+2 fastback/coupes with long hood styling and rear-wheel-drive. Anyway, this pony car looks respectable for the price but it depends on the quality of that paint...if it is a cheap respray -- pass; but if the paint is original or a quality job, this is a winner. Find this 1965 Plymouth Barracuda offered for $7000 in Albuquerque, NM via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Hollywood Swinger- 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger
The Dodge Dart was one of the most durable cars of the 1970’s. The inline slant 6 engine garnered a reputation for being nearly un-killable. Most cars back them didn't even have a six digit odometers. The slant six was offered in almost every car and truck in the Mopar line up. The third generation Dart was produced from 1967 to 1976. We have a unmolested survivor with a claimed 45,000 miles for sale in Meriden, CT 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger for $6500.Tuesday, June 3, 2014
2k: What Were They Thinking: 1977 Datsun 810 vs 1977 Plymouth Volare

1977 was an interesting year on many fronts. It celebrated the first time a man made vaccine eradicated a virus (small pox), the incorporation of Apple Computers, the release of Lucas's blockbuster Star Wars movie and the death of noted comedian Groucho Marx. It was also the year of some of the worst possible cars ever pushed from a factory due to oil embargoes, tightening emissions standards and quickly implemented fixes from the boys in Detroit. Which brings us to today's dual-feature...you are a senior in high school, it is the night of your prom and you've got two cars to chose from. Do you take Dad's 1977 Plymouth Volare Wagon 4spd manual or Mom's 1977 Datsun 810 Wagon Auto either of which can be had for about $2k today. Both cars are tips from fueltruck.Friday, May 30, 2014
5k: Upgraded Slant-6: 1972 Dodge Dart Sedan

The fourth generation Dodge Dart was introduced in 1967 on Chrysler's A-body platform. Sales of the A-body were phenomenal when
Valiant, Dart, Demon, Duster, 3700, Centura, Charger, Valiant Drifter,
Valiant Pacer and Scamp sales were all combined, but the Dart accounted for the bulk of the sales and is the easiest to find parts today. Find this 1972 Dodge Dart Sedan offered for $5,000 in Pasadena, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rod S.Saturday, April 26, 2014
5k: The Dart Board: '68 vs '65 Dodge Dart 4-Door Slant-6
Tipper Oldsmobuick sent us a few good links to classic inline-6 Dodge Dart survivors and instead of picking one to post we figured this would make a great opportunity for our readers to choose. These aren't going to win any beauty contests or make it past the curators at the Peterson Automotive Museum, but you could comfortably haul your family to the museum on a weekend to look at a few classic Ferrari's while their owners take the bus because their car is stuck in a museum. See how that works out for everybody?
