The original Buick Sport Wagon was built on GM's A-Body platform shared with the Skylark and Special...but also the Chevrolet Chevelle, Malibu, El Camino, and Oldsmobile Cutlass, F-85...oh boy...we could be here for a while, let me skip to the end...the Buick Sport Wagon shared most of its bits with the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, including the sweet sweet vista windows that help rear passengers get sunburn on long drives and are impossible to replace if one cracks...so this next car is probably worth more for the glass than anything.  But the rust makes it a legitimate horrorod.  Happy Halloween! A What? 1977 Datsun F10 Sports Wagon

What in the blazes is a Datsun F10? If your memories of the late 1970s are as hazy as mine (no...not haze like Cheech and Chong, more like the haze of being a little thumb sucker) then you probably don't remember the Datsun F10 because they didn't make many when new and most rotted into the earth or were swapped onto Dodge Powerwagon chassis and turned into snowplows...but somebody has a complete example and is asking a crazy amount of money for one...but it isn't like you'll find many comps around. 5-Speed Rarity: 2004 Mazda6 Sport Wagon

I have been a fan of the styling of the Mazda6 since they hit showrooms for the 2003 model year, and the wagon is an example of what a Japanese family car can and should look like -- are you listening Toyota/Honda? Power comes from either 4-cylinder or V6 gasoline engines, which were available with 5-speed (and after 2005 model year 6-speed) manual transmissions. The first generation Buick Sport Wagon was released in 1964 on GM's A-platform, as the corporate sister to the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser.  Both cars offered the odd vista split skylight that added a nice view (and sunburns sometimes...) to the center and rear row passengers -- a design element that was carried forward all the way in the 1990s with the Roadmaster Wagon.  Find this 1966 Buick Sport Wagon offered for $3,900 in Leona Valley, CA via craigslist.

1k: Cars You Forgot Existed: 2005 Jaguar X-Type Sportwagon

Unless you avidly follow the marquis of the leaping cat, you probably missed the 2004 introduction of Jaguar's first wagon. It's probably still off your radar, likely because it only came with the 3.0-liter V6, full-time all-wheel drive, and J-Gate - a combination I wouldn't wish on anyone. But shoot, it looks good. 15k: Giant Pez Dispenser: 1956 Powell Sport Wagon

From 1954 to 1957 a small enterprise in Compton, CA called Powell  Manufacturing Company built a vehicle called the Sport Wagon.  It used a 1941 Plymouth chassis...no really, each Powell was built on a used 1941 Plymouth chassis that had been reclaimed from a junkyard with a new steel body was plopped atop the used chassis.  You won't find many Powells just sitting around on your local craigslist, but when you do come across one they can be fairly affordable for the level or rarity and coolness.  Find this 1956 Powell Sport Wagon (and potentially a scooter as well) offered for $14,999 via craigslist located in Hoover, AL.
