In all my eBay surfing, I've seen some funky auctions-- buy one get one free, buy one and you need to submit a core (or trade-in) but I've never seen someone offer two cars for one price, where the winner selects one car to take home. The first generation Volkswagen Gol was designed and manufactured in Brazil as a replacement for the low end Brasillia. In 2006 Porsche introduced a hardtop version of their popular Boxster sports car and took the unusual step of releasing the performance version first. Typically OEMs release the more pedestrian version of a car first, the proverbial foot in the water, but with the Cayman, Porsche cannon balled into the water and boy did it make a splash. The Cayman takes the Boxster's mid-engine flat-6 and adds a fixed roof to turn the torsional rigidity up to 11 --take that 911!! The Cayman S MSRP hit $60k before options when new, but the magic of depreciation has taken its toll and now even the most incorrigibly cheap DT reader can afford one! In 1979 Porsche released a special edition of the 924 front-engined coupe to celebrate their victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race - think of it like a shorter and less famous version of the 24 Hrs of LeMans. The Sebring edition 924 included a few big stickers, stripes and the ultimate plaid interior to bring out the Jackie Stewart in anyone.
