Carbage Collection: 1980s Porsche 928s...4 of 'em.

I've mentioned the phenomenon of the carbage collector before...but I'll give a refresh for the new kids in the class.  If you've ever wondered why certain cars seem to collect on your neighbors lawn like they are in a captive breeding program, it's because of the market dynamics for when parts availability is sketchy, used versions are expensive to fix, but an entirely pristine version is still worth some amount of money.  A parts car is worth considerably less than the sum of the parts...you just gotta have a barn, airport, lawn..think OG Saab 93, Triump Spitfire, Beetle, and then today's feature car...which isn't just a car...it is 4 of them.  Find these 4 1980s Porsche 928s offered for $31500 in Concord, CA via craigslist...which is less than $8k each.

Sob Story: Collection of Saab 95s and Sonetts

This next car comes as a tip from Johnny Bouncewell who writes: Holy hell, you'd have to be mad (and an eccentric engineer named Nels Nelsveronsen) to buy all of these headaches. I'm neither, but so damn tempting.  Find this...errr..these Saab 95s and Sonetts offered as a package deal for $5000 in Albuquerque, NM via craigslist.

The Renaulty Spot: Collection of Renaults

What is better than a classic Renault offered at an estate/garage/junk sale?  How about a collection of 20 of them offered for who knows how much money.  Find this collection of Renaults offered for an undisclosed sum of money in Monticello along with a 1980 Archer T5 replica for $12,500 via craigslist.  Tip from Munky.

Calling Collect: Vintage Motorcycle Collection

A lot of cool old stuff that was just an affordable old car a few years ago has turned into a collectible automobile with prices to match.  Blame Barrett-Jackson, the Fed, Brexit, QE and QE2, or whatever, but amassing a collection is going to take you a few bucks as well as space.  Motorcycles haven't - for the most part followed cars - yet - and storing 16 bikes is a hell of a lot easier than 16 broken down old cars.  Find this Vintage Motorcycle Collection of 16 bikes including this 1973 Bultaco Alpina for sale in San Rafael, CA for $21,500 via craigslist.

Alfa Menagerie: Alfa Romeo Collection in Savannah, TN

What is the difference between a collector and hoarder?  What makes one group of cars a collection and another a menagerie?  Why would you let cool old cars rot outside for years until they are pretty much worthless for anything other than parts cars?  I don't have the answers, but this ad sure begs the questions.  Find this Alfa Romeo Collection for sale in  Savannah, TN for $1 (price on request) via craigslist.

A Collection Japanese Classics from Matt

This collection of cars comes from Matt C who writes: You've done them for vans and land yachts of this period - here's a round up of Japanese econoboxes from the late '70s and early '80s, many in better shape than these have any right to be.  What could be better than a collection of Japanese econoboxes on a Thursday afternoon?

4CV Dauphine R8 R10 Caravelle LeCar Alliance: A Collection of French Cars

Collecting orphan oddball cars usually starts with honest intentions.  Perhaps someone gives you a neglected classic and you mean to restore it and sell...but then you get 2 or 3 more...and the next thing you know is that you are the neighborhood cat lady for neglected French cars.  Find this Collection of French cars offered whole or parts located in Denver, CO via craigslist. Tip from Zach Z.

A Man, A Van, A Plan: Collection of Vans From FuelTruck

Tipper FuelTruck hit our inbox with a collection of custom vans that was so totally outrageous that I just had to publish the entire batch for your enjoyment. It includes something that was a giveaway called Tilly's neff Van, a 70s Dodge van with carpet padding themed interior, some sweet airbrushed graphics on a 71 Dodge B200 with Cali black plates,  a 70 Econoline with Cragar mags and white letter BF Goodrich TAs, but my favorite is the 77 Dodge B200 with a wolf howling at the moon/unicorn/wizard on one side, but a saber tooth tiger mauling a viking in outer space on the flip side...amazing stuff.  Big thanks to FuelTruck for all the vantastic links.

The Time Traveler: A Collection of Cars From Each Decade of 20th Century

DT tipper Zach sent in a fabulous collection of  cars from his local Bellingham, WA craigslist, where apparently the 1990s did not exist...or Bellingham is still stuck in the '80s. Either way, here is his list with some snarky commentary from me (E-i-C Vince) in Italics.
