Project Car: 1964 Volvo 122S Amazon

The Volvo 122S/Amazon is a 50's styled classic Volvo that normally doesn't cost an arm/leg to purchase, drive or restore. Prices have gone up for the "sporty" 2-door version in the past few years, but you can still find a 4-door 122S for next to nothing...and that is a good thing indeed.  Find this 1964 Volvo 122S Amazon offered for $3,500 in Ramona, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

A What What What? 1984 Grumman Olson Kubvan

Do you ever stumble upon a craigslist advertisement and think perhaps alzheimer's has finally set in?  How did I ever manage to survive on this rock for so many revolutions around the glowing orb of hot plasma and I've never heard of a Grumman Olson Kubvan.  Now I know.  I've seen it all.  Done.  Find this 1984 Grumman Olson Kubvan offered for $3,000 in Hartford, CT via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

MB Diesel Power: 1995 Jeep Wrangler

The YJ generation Jeep Wrangler isn't known for being a fast vehicle -- even with the big 4.2 liter AMC straight-6...but imagine a Wrangler that drives like it is bogged down in quicksand on any regular street and this is what we've got today.  Find this 1995 Jeep Wrangler offered for $6,995 in Tampa, FL via craigslist.  Tip from Victor.

A Tale of Two Trucks: 1991 Isuzu vs 1996 Mazda

Today's next two cars come from Matt C who writes: First, we have an Isuzu Hombre with a small block Chevy swap, for only $900. Of course, there is a catch. "Knock knock, who's there?" "Rod." "Rod who?" "Rod bearings..." But at least you have all the parts needed to put the engine - or a better smallblock - back in place once that's fixed. ext is a very strange Mazda build... is Looney Labor Day over yet? Let's take a closer look and see which of these two pickups is the pick-me-up that you need!

99 Cent Menu: 1967 Volvo 1800

What can you get for a dollar these days?  Taco Bell still has a decent dollar menu -- the Beefy Fritos burrito is one of my favorites.  What else?  Packs of bendy straws are available at dollar stores around the country.  Hotwheels and Matchbox cars are priced around one dollar as well -- but what if I told you that you could get an actual car for a dollar?  Find this 1967 Volvo 1800 here on eBay with starting bid of $1.00 located in Joplin, MO with less than one day to go.

Wrangler Swap Needed: 1968 Fiat Dino Project

The Fiat Dino should not be confused with the Dino 206/246 -- although they both share the same compact Ferrari Dino V6 powerplant.  The Dino 206/246 is a mid engine classic that costs as much as a beachfront cottage (you pick the locale...) while a Fiat Dino will cost you a swampfront cottage...or less if you find one that has been stored in an actual swamp.  Find this 1968 Fiat Dino Project in Clearwater, FL via craigslist for "make offer". Tip from Davery.

4CV Dauphine R8 R10 Caravelle LeCar Alliance: A Collection of French Cars

Collecting orphan oddball cars usually starts with honest intentions.  Perhaps someone gives you a neglected classic and you mean to restore it and sell...but then you get 2 or 3 more...and the next thing you know is that you are the neighborhood cat lady for neglected French cars.  Find this Collection of French cars offered whole or parts located in Denver, CO via craigslist. Tip from Zach Z.

Bait-n-Switch: 1967 Cadillac Eldorado Carbeque Project

Ahh, the old bait-n-switch, a craigslist classic.  But todays bait-n-switcher leads with a picture of a gorgeous 50s Cadillac Eldorado with matching custom trailer built from the rear end of another Eldo -- classy stuff.  Unfortunately, not only is this listing only for the rear end, but it a pile of rust, and from a '67 Eldorado.  Carbeque, indeed..but at least the price is right.  Find this 1967 Cadillac Eldorado Carbeque Project offered for $50 in Novato, CA via craigslist.  Tip from Kaibeezy.

Drives Like New: 1988 Yugo GVS

A few years after Malcolm Bricklin made a decent amount of money importing Subarus in the USA, he launched his own auto company, which made the DeLoreanesque SV-1.  The SV-1 is a cool car, but was arguably a financial failure, so Mr Bricklin went back to doing what he did best: importing cheap cars for the US economy car market.  Except for the next project he didn't find a reliable Japanese partner and instead partnered with the Serbian based Zastava Automobiles....and the rest is history.  Find this 1988 Yugo GVS offered for $4,600 in Pleasant Hill, OH.  Tip from FuelTruck.

Wherever you go...there you are.
