Whenever I find a Nissan Pike car (Pao, S-Cargo, Figaro, Be-1, K10-Micra) I find myself inexplicably writing about the car.  They aren't particularly fast, fun to drive, or that easy to go through drive-thrus in the USA...but there is something superbly cool about the little retro-styled JDM classics that is irresistible to my pen...errr..keyboard. Cylinders Half Full: 1991 Ford Mustang LX

The third generation Ford Mustang, commonly called the Fox Body, was sold from 1979 through 1993. You probably want a cool notchback version with the sweet 5.0 V8...but today we've got the bargain basement 4-cylinder version that was advertised for $13,270 out the door.  Find this 1991 Ford Mustang LX here on eBay bidding for $4100 CAD ($3187 USD) with a few hours to go, located in Guelph, ON, Canada.

Prinz of Sharpness: 1960 NSU Sport Prinz

I don't get it.  NSU is a rare make.  The Sport Prinz is a cool model.  And this next one is a scruffy pile of parts, but it is bidding for pauper money.  Those guys on that other site would easily drop big Trump sized piles of cash on a restored Sport Prinz, so why no love for this scruffy looking pile of "ran when borked?"  Find this 1960 NSU Sport Prinz here on eBay bidding for $2,550 with a few hours to go, located in quirky Albuquerque (home of the inventory of the querty keyboard), NM.

MB Diesel Power: 1995 Jeep Wrangler

The YJ generation Jeep Wrangler isn't known for being a fast vehicle -- even with the big 4.2 liter AMC straight-6...but imagine a Wrangler that drives like it is bogged down in quicksand on any regular street and this is what we've got today.  Find this 1995 Jeep Wrangler offered for $6,995 in Tampa, FL via craigslist.  Tip from Victor.

Respect Your Rootes: 1965 Sunbeam Minx Series V

Are you in the market for an aged European sedan that isn't particularly fast, reliable, or sexy -- but is affordable?  Boy, do we have the goods for you today, because the Sunbeam/Hillman Minx Series I-VI was the Rootes Group mid-sized family car back in the 1960s-1960s and well...let's be honest, it was a pretty terrible choice for a car then and it still is today!  Find this 1965 Sunbeam Minx Series V  offered for $4,500 in Milford, OH via craigslist. Oil Burner: 1986 Volkswagen Jetta Diesel

It was a simpler time before the internet. Instead of checking Craigslist every hour or so, you had to line up at 7-11 on Thursday morning to be one of the first to scope out the great deals in the Recycler. 29k Mile Classic: 1973 Opel GT

Many classic cars have a good wreck-to-whip ratio, that is to say that a nice example costs considerably more than a trashed version.  The difference in price for something like a Porsche 911, fastback Mustang, or C2 Corvette might tempt you into buying one that has some needs, but when you get into more affordable cars, it almost always makes sense to buy a nice example, and some cars you should just buy the nicest one you can find.  Like this 1973 Opel GT here on eBay bidding for $6,000 reserve-not-met located in Deming, NM with 3 days to go.  Tip from Rene.

Karmannguia: 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Type 14

This next car is a bit of a project...actually it is a whole bunch of little projects, but who here doesn't love to spend his weekends up to the elbows in grease?  Exactly.  Anyway, the seller in this next craigslist employs some creative spelling for this Type 14, but a good deal is good deal...unless it isn't.  Find this 1970 Volkswagen "Karmannguia" Type 14 offered for $3,500 in San Diego, CA via craigslist.

Repeat Offender: 1963 Renault R8

This next car was last featured as a seller submission here in Jan of 2014, but it is now offered by a small dealer near the LAX airport for a reasonable asking price.  The previous owner and recent builder/restorer of this car is stand up guy and early friend of DT, so I give this thing three thumbs up.  Find this 1963 Renault R8 offered for $6,500 in Lawndale, CA via craigslist.  Tip from Ryan.

Luce In The Sky: 1974 Mazda RX-4

Mazda's early 1970s rotary lineup included the compact Familia based RX-3, the mid-sized Capella based RX-2, and the Luce RX-4 -- which was supposed to be Mazda's personal luxury coupe. Unfortunately the RX-4 didn't sell well in the US because the personal luxury coupe buyer wanted a comfortable ride, an automatic transmission, and low end torque, which is the exact opposite of a rotary powered Mazda.  Find this 1974 Mazda RX-4 here on eBay bidding for $5,600 with a few hours to go, located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
