5k: Bond, Equipe Bond: 1965 Bond Equipe GT4S

Sharp Commercials LTD started automotive production by building something called the Bond Minicar in 1949.  The Minicar was a 3-wheeled deathtrap that likely served as inspiration for the Reliant Robin deathtrap and had a unique single cylinder two-stroke engine that could be fired backwards for reversing the vehicle...anyway, it was discontinued in 1966 after Sharp's Bond Equipe 4-wheel car sales took off.  Bond/Sharp only built 5000 of the Equipe over a seven year span and this is the only one I've ever seen.  Find this 1965 Bond Equipe GT4S currently bidding for $4,000 on ebay with less than 1 day to go, located in San Diego, CA.

5k: Under Destruction: 1982 Chevrolet Van 8 Wheeler

There are so many things wrong with the next feature, that I cannot begin easily to enumerate them...so instead, let's focus on what is right.  First off, the seller does identify a make/model of the offending vehicle.  Second, the seller includes 3 focused photos.  Finally, it is a shorty-sleeper-flat-bed-van-truck, with 4 axles and 8 wheels.  Find this 1982 Chevrolet Van 8 Wheeler for sale in Underwood, IN for $5500 via craigslist.  Tip from Steven C.

DT Commenter of the Week: Hot Tub Thyme Machine

Welcome back to another episode of the inappropriately named Commenter of the Week (COW) award.  The week's COW award goes to a regular commenter who remarked on the awesome stainless bed of the Lincoln Blackwood pickup:
That bed looks like it would make a nice hot tub/slow cooker. Even has a power folding lid to keep the freshness in.

1k: Hot Tip: 1977 Ford Pinto Cruising Wagon

This next feature comes from tipper Zach Z who writes:
I don't know why, but I saw this and said, forget the new DTM5 - they needs this!

You really can't argue with that kind of logic, especially because this Pinto panel wagon has factory stock porthole style "bubble" windows in the back.  They just don't make 'em like they used to, that's for sure.  Find this 1977 Ford Pinto Cruising Wagon offered for $2000 in Lakewood, CO via craigslist.

5k: Cheap Roundie: 1970 BMW 2002

The supply of cheap BMW 2002 roundies is just about gone, dried up like tears from a cowboy who lost his horse but found a pickup truck.  It probably won't be long before the entire market has "pulled a 911" and even the crappiest examples demand real money, but for now you can find a 2002 for nothing..but only if you look really hard and aren't afraid of rust.  Find this 1970 BMW 2002 offered for $3,200 near Portland, OR via craigslist.

2k: Petrolicious Video Legend: 1984 Chrysler LeBaron Town and Country Convertible Mark Cross Edition

If you caught the Petrolicious video yesterday and are anything like me, you probably now have a hankering for a sweet Chrysler LeBaron convertible.  Well wouldn't ya know?  In the comments on Petrolicious site was the exact car from the video...not a similar car..but the exact same car, complete with termite free siding and espresso/cappuccino interior by Mark Cross.  Find this 1984 Chrysler LeBaron Town and Country Convertible offered for $2,195 in Los Alimitos, CA via craigslist.

10k: Rule The World: 1935 Studebaker Dictator

The word "dictator" brings nasty connotations with Adolf Hitler and other unsavory characters, but it hasn't always been that way.  The concept of a dictator was first used during the era of the Roman Republic.  In times of crisis, the senate would nominate an individual to be supreme commander-in-chief and chief-executive for a temporary assignment, usually in times of war.  This would allow a single individual to slaughter some Carthaginians or dispel civil unrest quickly and then he would return this ultimate power back to the senate.  This worked for a while until Julius Caesar declared himself dictator-in-perpetuity and was stabbed in the neck a month later.  Fast forward a few thousand years and the Studebaker Corporation used the name Dictator for their base model cars under the Commander and President models.  Find this 1935 Studebaker Dictator Four Door Sedan currently bidding for $9,300 reserve-not-met on ebay in Sacramento, CA.

15k: Luxury Truckin: 2002 Lincoln Blackwood

Lincoln had built many cars since the brand was introduced by Henry M. Leland in 1917, but never had the four pointed star emblem been put on a pickup truck.  In 2002 the Lincoln Blackwood was introduced, a re-badged and upgraded version of Ford's popular F-150 pickup.  The production of 3300 of the 2002 Blackwood luxury pickup is fascinating, first because this is a low number to justify tooling/production costs for a large OE like Ford/Lincoln and second because it is shocking you could find that many people to pay $52,000 for an F-150 pickup.  Regardless the Blackwood is cheap on the used market; find this 2002 Lincoln Blackwood for sale in Minden, NV for $15,000 via craigslist.  Tip from Andy L.

April 1st: Just The Way It Is by Petrolicious

In case you couldn't tell from the inane Daily Turismo Private Reserve and absurd Get A Bucket features...yesterday was April fool's day.  Jalopnik ran some sort of sly "yuk yuk" campaign against the ridiculous April 1 press releases by featuring only bland press releases from random companies, but Petrolicious blew everyone out of the water with this amazing video about a purist who loves his car just the way it is.  Don't want to spoil the surprises, so just watch it here.

DTO: S8 Powered: 1990 Volkswagen Type2 (T3) Panel Van

For all the complaining we do about overpriced classic VW Vans, you'd think we would pass on a $50k Panel Van with crummy photos.  Except...this one is powered by a 360 horsepower V8 from an Audi S8...so it gets a pass for being totally bonkers.  Find this 1990 Volkswagen Type2 (T3) Panel Van offered for €39,000 ($53,835 USD) via suchen.mobile.de somewhere in Germany.

10k: Airflyte: 1949 Nash Ambassador Super Special

You don't need a $175k 930 Turbo that makes an entrance like tin foil in a microwave for a weekend classic driver, all you need is cool looking ride that puts a smile on your face.  Aftermarket support for replacement parts is important if you plan on putting many miles on it and things like functioning heaters and AC might be important depending on where you live.  For the married man, capital investment price comes first because any such decisions need to be approved by the CFO, so the question is why spend the cash on makes/marques/models hopelessly inflated by greedy flipvestors when you can be cool & cheap instead?  A prime example is this 1949 Nash Ambassador Super Special currently bidding for $7,900 with less than 1 day to go.

Get A Bucket: One Owner 1979 Mazda 626 Vintage Racer

This 1979 Mazda 626 racer is wearing our favorite vintage Skull & AARP livery.  It is said to be an original one owner car-- as in it originally had one owner, and then some other people, racing teams, firms, salvage yards...but rest assured it has had at least one owner.  Find it here on craigslist for $650 near Spokane, WA.  Thanks to submission from GaB tipper Oldsmobuick.

Get A Bucket: 1990 Volvo 740

This 1990 Volvo 740 GLE Wagon is said to have the rear jump seats and appears to seat seven passengers.  It is said to have recently had some maintenance, but might need a new timing belt or excorsism...who knows, it is very reliable, until it stops working.  Great car.  Lots of patina.  Find it here on craigslist for $700 in Richmond, CA.

Get A Bucket: 1977 Triumph Spitfire

This Triumph Spitfire is covered in our preferred shade of black paint and the current seller has done a  cosmetic bumper delete.  It is said to be a restorable vehicle with a clean title. Something, something, patina...potential for inline six swap, we'd change the wheels. Find it here on craigslist for $900 in Chatsworth, CA.

Get A Bucket: 1931 Ford Model A

This Ford Model A is said to be a good original condition chassis that just needs a few parts to complete.  We really like the fact that this could be either a 1930 or 1931 chassis and it appears to be well preserved for sitting outside in a field for the past 80 years.  If it were ours, we'd restore it to stock or put a 21 Window VW bus chassis powered by a Porsche 912 on it; either way it is a win-win situation for everyone involved.  Find it here on craigslist for $1000 in Northridge, CA.

Get A Bucket: 1965 Chevrolet Corvair

This 1965 Corvair is one of the more desirable second generation Corvairs with the safer independent rear suspension that we prefer instead of the swing axle.  Covered in a protective patina of rust, it appears to be in good shape aside from missing most major trim and glass pieces, and not running.  Find it here on craigslist for $800 located in East Mesa, AZ.  Special thanks to GaB reader Ralph N for his submission.

Get A Bucket: 1983 Honda Civic

This 1983 Honda Civic 5-door wagon is said to have had its head rebuilt at a machine shop in Santa Fe Springs, it is said to have new spark plugs and is said to not run.  It does seem to need a tow truck to be taken home.  We would get it running and apply some period-correct cocaine residue to any flat horizontal areas on the dashboard. Find it here on craigslist for $1000 in El Monte, CA.

Daily Turismo: Get A Bucket

Mahatma Gandhi may have said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world," but my neighbor Ted said "You must be f*#king kidding me, this vending machine took my change."  Anyway, my name is Bob and I'm replacing the old Editor-in-Chief (and rack-n-pinion enthusiast) Vince since he made enough money on the Daily Turismo Private Reserve 190SL to retire to the Seychelles...or Paxton, Nebraska...I'm not sure, but am contractually obliged to speak in the third person from now on.  The plan for the future of DT is to stop hunting Moby Dick and start canning sardines...which in this case is anything we can find for less than $1000.

DT Private Reserve: Duck Dynasty: 1955 Mercedes R121 190 SL

Welcome to the new and improved Daily Turismo Private Reserve, where our motto is: "Buy high, sell low, and keep your privates reserved." First up in our new seller submitted format is this 1955 Mercedes R121 190 SL, where the seller answers questions to our highly technical and detailed questionnaire below.

Update 8:30AM: We have gotten an overwhelming response for this car and it looks like it is going to a previous owner.  More updates later.

Update 9:15AM: This car has been sold to a nice lady located in Albuquerque, NM who is a previous owner.  She is pretty sure she left something in it that many years ago and wants to get it back.

Update 9:16AM: The car is back on the market as  DT Private Reserve Exclusive Cellar Submission Top Shelf (TM, PDQ).  The lady in Albuquerque was searching for her virginity that she is pretty sure she lost in the back seat of this SL, but she couldn't find it.  The wheels have been rotated (by loading and unloading it from the trailer) and the car is said to turnover when sufficient torque is supplied to the frame.  With this new attention, the price is now...$10,000,000.

DT Private Reserve: Swedish Jackpot: 1966 Volvo Pee1800

Welcome to the new and improved Daily Turismo Private Reserve, where our motto is: "Buy nigh, sell slow, and keep your reserves private."  Up next is a favorite of the staffers at the Daily Turismo, a Volvo Pee1800 -- lets see how the seller answers our questionnaire.

Introducing Daily Turismo Private Reserve

If we at DT learned anything from our years of reading The Onion & xkcd, it is that cutting edge blogs constantly reinvent themselves.  Normally a car listing site will charge the seller for the privilege of featuring the car and reaching his intended audience...but...what if the reader was charged for that service and the seller could reap the benefit for free?  See where I'm going?  What if we blatantly shook our pom-poms at every rusty piece of crap that crosses our inbox and then our readers nod their heads in unison, some sucker comes in and buys the car...suddenly gold rains from the skies.  Step 4, PROFIT!!!!
