10k: Rule The World: 1935 Studebaker Dictator

The word "dictator" brings nasty connotations with Adolf Hitler and other unsavory characters, but it hasn't always been that way. The concept of a dictator was first used during the era of the Roman Republic. In times of crisis, the senate would nominate an individual to be supreme commander-in-chief and chief-executive for a temporary assignment, usually in times of war. This would allow a single individual to slaughter some Carthaginians or dispel civil unrest quickly and then he would return this ultimate power back to the senate. This worked for a while until Julius Caesar declared himself dictator-in-perpetuity and was stabbed in the neck a month later. Fast forward a few thousand years and the Studebaker Corporation used the name Dictator for their base model cars under the Commander and President models. 1k: Steppe Over To The Dark Side: 1981 Vaz 2101

Sometimes the right car just appears in the right place at the right time for the right price. The decision is easy, you pull the trigger and become the owner of a new ride. Other times the car is located in Siberia and only contact information is a mysterious Russian sounding email address. Today's feature is the latter. Find this 1981(ish) Vaz 2101 for sale for $1,500 via SF Bay Area, CA craiglist, but per the seller "Izz een Rrrussha." Tip from Kaibeezy.

5k: A Clockwork Orange: 1983 Dodge Ram Van

The Stanley Kubrick directed A Clockwork Orange (1971) is a disturbing and thought-provoking film about violence and rehabilitation with a sublime classical soundtrack. The basic premise is that a psychopath commits all kinds of horrible violent crimes, is locked up and subjected to a torture/therapy and is cured...but not really cured. Anyway, the movie may be a classic, but why anyone would create a "Clockwork Orange" van (complete with a bed in the back) is completely lost on us. Find this 1983 Dodge Ram Van

Suicidal Tendencies: Mexican Jet Pack
The concept of the jet pack was originally developed in the 1920's by a crazy Russian inventor named Aleksandr Fyodorovich Andreyev. Rumors exist of Nazi's using functioning jet packs around WWII, but those are likely just rumors and the real first jet pack was created in 1958 by some American engineers. Science fiction quickly adopted jet packs as transportation of the future and James Bond even flew one in the opening scene of Thunderball (1965), but the vision of cities congested with jet pack traffic has yet to become a reality. That doesn't mean you can't pickup a new jet pack for about the price of a well optioned Toyota Camry. Find this Mexican Jet Pack

1k: Free Caribou Meat: 1987 Ford E350 Super Club Wagon Van, Rusty

They say that driving a car in Alaska is like owning an Italian car in any other part of the country. Metal parts will rust immediately and for every twelve months of ownership you can only drive it for six. Additionally, the only thing more prevalent than rusting carcasses in last frontier state of Alaska is freshly slaughtered caribou, so why not combine those two into one single craigslist ad? Find this 1987 Ford Econoline Van with free caribou meat for sale in Anchorage, AK for $850 via craigslist. Tip from ANCMatt.
