Jaguar coupes have been gorgeous cars since Ernesto Jaguar was a little boy sketching his designs on Big Chief Tablets, and the X100 generation XK was no exception.  Assembled in Coventry from 1997 through 2006, the XK added some soft lines to the angular XJ coupe and evokes the legacy of the E-Type.  Mechanical & electric parts aren't as troublesome and "release the smoke" prone as stuff from the 80s, but it isn't going to be as reliable as a Toyota or Ford or SsangYong...and the interior is only one frilly lamp shade short of being an actual brothel parlor (thanks doctordel!)...but it's a Jaaaaaaaag.  Find this 2003 Jaguar XK8 Coupe here on eBay offered for $11,900 or best offer in Pompano Beach, FL.

Blue Boat: 1977 Pontiac LeMans Safari

Here are two words that don't go together. LeMans and Safari. LeMans is a city in France that hosts a prestigious 24 hour race for sports racing cars and a Safari is fun filled vacation for wealthy people where they stalk rare wildlife and get sand in their cargo pants.  Here is one more word that doesn't go with EITHER of those two -- Pontiac.  Pontiac is the late GM performance brand that had nothing to do with GT racing or hunting in the mid 1970s, but that didn't stop them from building something called the Pontiac LeMans Safari...because marketing.  Find this 1977 Pontiac LeMans Safari here on eBay bidding for $6200 with a few hours to go.

Former Embassy Car: 2004 Lincoln Town Car L

The 3rd and final generation of the Lincoln Town Car was built from 1998 through 2011 on a chassis shared with the Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis/Marauder, and Hongqi Qijian.  Out of the million Town Cars built in this generation, a few were of the plus "long wheelbase" version that added 6 inches of rear seat legroom, and remote access to the climate control and radio. This particular long wheelbase Town Car was ostensibly used by a Moroccan Diplomat, but you will feel like royalty no matter your actual station in life when you ride in the back of this thing. This next car isn't the car that Robert De Niro's character (Ace Rothstein) drove in Casino, because that was an El Dorado...but it probably has similar bomb absorbing underbody panels and is so seriously gangster that I can't help but smile.  This is the kind of car that a gangster like Vito Genovese or Crazy Joe Gallo would drive. Old School: 1960 Ford Ranch Wagon

Ford was still using the old school "full sized model year" designation for its big cars when the 1960 Ford hit the showrooms, even though they had started selling compact Falcons and the sporty Thunderbird. Naturally the big Ford was a popular item and was sold in a number of different body shapes/styles including the wicked Ranch Wagon trim...which wasn't good for ranching when new, but is certainly good for cruising around your local car shows today. American Dream: 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III

I had the opportunity to browse the current Lincoln model lineup at the LA Auto show a few days ago and it wasn't exactly invigorating...or exciting...or impressive.  Frankly, the monstrous Navigator is the only vehicle that makes an impression, but the rest of the lineup is somewhere between meh and blah.  That hasn't always been the situation and there was a time when driving a Lincoln meant you'd made it, like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Elizabeth Taylor, or Dwight Eisenhower.  Find this 1970 Lincoln Mark III here on eBay bidding for $3,950 reserve-not-met with 3 days to go, located in Toronto, ON, Canada.
