The 3rd and final generation of the Lincoln Town Car was built from 1998 through 2011 on a chassis shared with the Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis/Marauder, and Hongqi Qijian. Out of the million Town Cars built in this generation, a few were of the plus "long wheelbase" version that added 6 inches of rear seat legroom, and remote access to the climate control and radio.
