My first instinct was to go for something like this custom hunting truck built on an 84 Bronco chassis...but the passengers are way too exposed and it'll stick out in the sea of modern crossovers fleeing the zombie filled cities...and then I found this wicked Freightliner hospitality truck that is basically a class-8 RV on steroids...but that would be a huge target for the starving masses...what you need is something that is incognito.  Maybe a cool old firetruck, because even the most vicious criminals give firemen a break and you could put anything you wanted in that big tank and tell any potential thieves that it is fire retardant -- drinking water, gasoline, hand sanitizer, rum, honey, Oreo cookies, Albanian refugees, a small home office...with a vintage firetruck the world is your red pained oyster, my friend. 10k: Beware The Idles of March: 1953 Kaiser Dragon

If you thought we'd miss the chance to create a once-a-year badge to commemorate a 2000 year old assassination...you've got another thing coming!!  Beware the Idles of March, and today we are going to feature a car named after the most famous of Roman general, statesman and emperor, Gaius Julius Caesar (hail Caesar!).  The Kaiser-Frazer Corp (as it was originally known) wasn't named after the famous "dictator in perpetuity" but its founder was Henry J Kaiser whose German ancestors had chosen the name Kaiser which can be traced back to the Roman name for its emporers "Caesar".  Ergo, in a way, the Kaiser branded cars were named after our favorite Roman version of North Korea's Kim Jong-il.  Find this 1953 Kaiser Dragon located in Northwest, OK for the asking price of $10,000 via craigslist.

DT Does SEMA 2012: Creativity Runs Rampant

Last week this DT editor traveled to the most wretched hive of scum and villainy known to man. Although the southern Nevada desert landscape does resemble the wastelands of Tatooine, we're not referring to Mos Eisley Spaceport - no, the closest place on Earth is the seething mass known as Las Vegas. For one week every fall, Sin City turns into the epicenter of the biggest car show in the country and a festival of aftermarket excess, a force to recon with in the automotive industry and the debut venue for thousands of new products every year. We are referring of course to the SEMA Show, which is an assault on the senses and sensibilities of anyone who has the terrible luck fortune to walk its halls. Not only will you find hundreds of show cars, hot rods, drift machines, and booth babes, the show can be a great place to spot one-off creations that incite reactions of confusion, awe, appreciation, and regret (that you didn't think of the idea first).
