DT 5.0 Best 500cc Bike: 1971 Kawasaki H1 500
For the best 500cc bike I suppose I could have searched for some sort of race bike that had won numerous championships or something from the land of excitable people that gesture a lot with their hands, but I decided to go with "the triple with the ripple" from the two stoke nuts at Kawasaki. Find this 1971 Kawasaki H1 500 for sale in Oceanside, CA currently bid to $5,100 on eBay with 3 days to go. This post is part of DT's 5th Birthday Celebration.

DT 5.0 Still a deal?: 1999 BMW M3
The first car posted to DT back in 2012 was a silver on black 1999 E36 BMW M3 on Craigslist in Glendale, CA listed for $7,400. In it, our intrepid E-i-C talked about how since the E30 values have increased, the old magic of depreciation has made the following generation E36 of M3 a deal. Question for the readership: still the case 5 years on? Find this 1999 BMW M3 for sale in San Jose, CA for $10,995 via craigslist. This post is part of DT's 5th Birthday Celebration.

DT 5th Birthday
Good things come in sets of five. Take fingers, for example. Don't actually take my fingers, but take a look at yours and you'll see that you've got 5. Remove one and you'll have a hard time doing the things you do with your fingers, from holding a pencil to picking your nose. It is with great pleasure that I announce that this week, DT will offer a theme of 5 because we've just turned 5 years old.

DT's 5th Birthday
Can you believe that Daily Turismo has been around for 5 years? I can't! It seems like only yesterday that DT was a little bald baby sitting in my lap and throwing up on me, but not it talks back, swears, and spends most of the afternoon in time-out. Anyway, DT is turning 5 years old on Monday July 17th, so we are going to do 5 days of awesome 5s. Yup. All things 5. Expect lots of BMWs 5ers, maybe some 5 year old cars...cars for 5 year olds, 5ths of bourbon...etc. Let's kick it off with a retro DT badge and some 5-spoke alloys with a 5-lug wheel.Wednesday, July 20, 2016

Coffee Brake: 4 Years Later...
It has been almost 4 years since this website stormed out into the wild and declared to the world in a loud voice: WE FEATURE THE BESTEST CARS ON THE INTERWEBS. In those 4 years, DT might not be as popular as a 4 day old web phone game about Pokemon, but at least DT hasn't caused car accidents. Anything someone might do in a DT purchased car is never an accident and almost certainly on purpose. Sunday, July 19, 2015
DT Birthday Celebration: The Daily Turismo Fleet
A look at DT's own cars, past and present...

| Not actually DT cars...but who doesn't like E30s and E34s? |
Continuing our 3rd Birthday Celebration from Friday, we turn the focus inward for a minute to reflect on our own cars and experiences with them.

DT Birthday Celebration: DT Needs You
Are you a writer, artist, blogger, car guy, car gal, and/or lover of custom El Caminos? Great, because Daily Turismo needs you. This is a call for more contributing writers. What do you get? A byline on one of the fastest growing car blogging websites this side of Pork-n-Beemers dot com, and maybe your own business cards if you play your cards right.
DT Birthday Celebration: Welcome PhilBot
"It takes discipline not to let social media steal your time." --Alexis Ohanian, Reddit Founder and CEO.
DT Editor Vince: "I am the first to admit that I don't understand this newfangled social media, the facebook, this tweeting thing, instahash, pee-interest -- none of it makes any sense to me." Posting links to DT stories on facebook has been easy enough, but the twitter bot is really pointless...and something had to change. Thankfully, at least one person on the DT teamisn't an aging neanderthal is up to speed on social media and has graciously offered to manage these channels, our own PhiLOL.

DT Birthday Celebration: Patronage
When someone asks how they can help DT, the quick/easy answer is to help spread the word, or send us a juicy tip. Some folks have asked how they can help in a monetary sense and after some prodding from regular contributors, we've decided to launch a pledge drive here on Patreon.
DT Birthday Celebration: Three Years Strong
Three years doesn't sound like a lot of time. Maybe if you look at it as 1095 days, 26,280 hours, 1,576,800 minutes, or 94,608,000 seconds, it starts to sound like more. But if you asked me how much time has passed since CFlo and I started blogging about used cars on the interweb...I would say it seems like just a few days. In those few days we (I'm including a big group of additional contributors here) have published 4,000 features, received 6,000 tips, read 25,000 comments, and gotten 6,000,000 pageviews.

Happy 2nd Birthday: DT's ABCs
Beer cans, twizzler wrappers and tinsel litter the floor of the Daily Turismo headquarters and bath house. Yesterday was DT's second birthday and what a party it was -- 26 cars featured from A-to-Z, a veritable alphabet of awesome.

Z is for Zonked: 1981 (John Z.) DeLorean DMC-12
"Z is for DeLorean? What are you guys high on?" Whatever it is, it isn't as good as the suitcase full of cocaine that Federal agents allegedly used to entrap John Z. with drug trafficking charges. However, with the power of the PRV V6 behind your back and the promise of open roads ahead, the DMC-12 is the only narcotic you'll need to reach the Zenith of automotive zest. Even if where we're going, we don't need...roads. And even if there are...roads, maybe the DeLorean is the ultimate DT winter beater, since it carries massive weight over the rear (traction) wheels and the stainless steel construction will negate the possibility of structural rust. Oh wait; the backbone chassis is mild steel. Find this 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 for sale in Delavan, IL for $21950 via craigslist.

Y is for Yieldless: 1987 Yugo GV
Y is for Yugoslavian, a household term synonymous with high manufacturing standards and reliability. Indeed, following Yugo's lauded introduction to the U.S. Market in 1986, the sales success of Yugoslavian imports put pressure on the Big Three domestic automakers to increase their build quality and fuel efficiency. And now, an all-original example can be yours for under $3,000. Find this 1987 Yugo GV in San Antonio, TX for $2,400 via craigslist.

X is for Xcrement: 1983 Chevrolet Citation X-11
Having plumbed the depths of the K-Car and now nearing the end of
the alphabet its only appropriate that we head straight for the nadir
of the auto industry. The 1980's X cars from GM. X is for xactly what the doctor didn't order, which is what the X-Body cars of the
1980's were from GM. The steam rising from that pile of xcrement was the

waiting for you, staged beside a waterway, owned by some guy who has
at least a four car garage and a lift and loves classics, like his X-11, which he's offering to you for what has to be a record setting high price of $6,395.
