See Five Season: 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Ah, the C5 Corvette Z06. The cheapest way to go fast, and the fastest way to lose your license. It is a formidable track machine, tuned by the wizards at Chevy's performance group to take the standard C5 from fast enough to faster. When introduced in 2001, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was the fastest production car for less than $100k, and today, a used Z06 is the fastest stock car for less than $15k in just about any competition environment (drag, track, autox, etc). Find this 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 offered for $12,900 in Glendale, AZ via craigslist.

Seller Submission: 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition

This next car comes as a friend of the seller submission from Tim C who tells us that he is trying to help a friend who is quite ill sell his Corvette. He can no longer drive.  He wanted $70k for the car, now it's at $59k and might have to go lower.  The C8 isn't helping.  I've tried twice to use BAT but they won't accept the car, saying it's too new.  Do you think it's worth giving it a try on DT?  Let's help the seller out -- while it does exceed the normal DT cheapskate pricing limit, it is a very special car offered for a price approaching 1/2 of the new MSRP with only 1400 miles on the odo, but as Tim said...this car is now two generations old and the mid engine C8 isn't helping.  Find this 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition offered for $59k here on DailyTurismo located somewhere near Santa Cruz, California.  Send an email to tips@dailyturismo.com if you want the contact info for the seller.

Let's Roll: 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The Chevrolet Corvette has always been America's sports car, but this next example takes it to the ultimate level.  It puts the Jamin' in Benjamin Franklin, the Bert & Ernie in Liberty, and the Steal in Bald Eagle.  This is the most American thing to drive on a road since the Sherman Tank.  Find this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 offered for $21,900 in Florence, KY via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

LS6 Powered: 1985 Chevrolet Corvette

The C4 Corvette was first introduced in 1984 as the future of Corvette styling with a sleek and aerodynamic look.  The inside introduced a digital LCD dash display that was going to be the future of motoring. We can all be thankful that the future has moved past LCD dashes and plain wrapper styling...but this next C4 might have you tempted to go back to that future. Find this 1985 Chevrolet Corvette offered for $12,500 in Rhode Island via craigslist.  From Cory.

Mid Week Match-Up: Mad Max Today

We've all seen the original Road Warrior, a timeless piece of cinema that deserves a place in your collection sandwiched between Citizen Kane and The Godfather, but what if the movie was filmed today in the badlands of New Mexico and Max couldn't get the last of the Interceptor V8s...what would he drive?

See Five Zee Oh Six- 2002 Chervrolet Corvette Z06

About a month ago, I wrote up a 1995 6 speed Corvette that was advertised for a paltry $5500. The 300 hp C4 Vette seemed to represent the best bang for the buck at roughly five grand.  This C5 Corvette Z06 is almost ten grand more than C4, but it's performance envelope is in whole another league.  Is there a better performance car out there for under 15 grand?  Find this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 for sale in Portland, CT for $14,000 via craigslist.

Fast at Last: 2004 Cadillac CTS-V

The C5 Corvette Z06 was a world beater when it was unleashed in 2001.  With up to 405 HP, the LS6 engine finally put the 'Vette squarely in super-car company.  Three years into its production run, GM generously shared the LS6 power plant with Cadillac and the result was just as awesome.  Find this 2004 Cadillac CTS-V for sale in Sioux City, SD for $15,500 via craigslist.

Fast 'n' Cheap: 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Chevrolet's C5 generation Corvette was a fast car, and competent in the turns -- but when they released the Z06 edition in 2001 they turned the knob up to 11.  For the first time in history you could, for $56,395, buy a car that would hit 60mph in less than 4 seconds, cover a 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds and exceed 1 G on the skipad.  Now, you can get that same performance for a bit over $10k.  Find this 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 here on eBay with a starting bid of $10,500 with a $12,500 buy-it-now located in Lindale, GA.

10k: Bent Pushrods: 2001 Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06

Ah, the C5 Corvette Z06.  The cheapest way to go fast, and the fastest way to lose your license.  It is a formidable track machine, tuned by the wizards at Chevy's performance group to take the standard C5 from fast enough to faster.  What happens when you bolt a supercharger on a Z06?  Flat tires and rusty brake discs?  What's going on with this 2001 Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 currently bidding here on eBay for $7,600 with a few hours to go?

20k: Need For Speed: 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Forget everything you know about fast cars for around twenty large.  This is what you need to know: C5 Corvette Z06.  Everything else is slow.  The Mercury Grand Marquis sleeper with a turbocharger bigger than a 6 month old baby will be slower 99% of the time, and the slammed Toyota MR2 on racing slicks will not turn as well.  For less than $20k you cannot get a faster overall vehicle than a C5 Z06.  Find this 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 offered here on eBay for $21,900 buy-it-now or make-offer, located in Jacksonville, FL.

1 of 50: Stacey: 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Z16

When introduced in 2001, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was the fastest production car for less than $100k. Today, a used Z06 is the fastest stock car for less than $25k in just about any competition environment (drag, track, autox, etc). In 2004 Chevrolet introduced a special edition to the special edition to commemorate the 1-2 finish of the C5.R at the 2002 24 Hrs of LeMans. Find this 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Z16 for sale in Spartanburg, SC for $23,000 buy-it-now on ebay. Tip from carcrasher88 on jalopnik.  The auction has ended on this car, but it looks to still be available.
