12 Valve 5.9 Cummins: 1993 Dodge Ram 2500 Extended Cab

If you enjoy the clack-ity-rack-ity sound of a good diesel, then look no more because the Cummins 12 Valve inline-6 is the heavy fuel burning engine that you want in your pickup.  The 5.9 are legendary for reliability, ruggedness, and surviving all kinds of abuse because they were an industrial/tractor engine that somehow ended up in the engine bay of a light truck, which is a far less needy application.  Find this 1993 Dodge Ram 2500 Extended Cab here on eBay bidding for $2,247 with 4 days to go, located in Clackamas, OR.

6-Speed Duramax: 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

The Silverado name first appeared on the side of a Chevy pickup in 1999 on the replacement for the 75-98 Chevrolet C/K pickup, but there were two different versions of the Silverado. The first is a light duty version that could be purchased in 1500 and 2500 versions, but there was heavy duty version that was sold as the 1500HD, 2500HD and 3500HD -- and the HD was the only way to get the boosted Duramax diesel torque machine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.  Find this 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD offered for $5,500 in Daleville, IN via craigslist.

Seller Submission: The Beast 1986 GMC 2500 Suburban

This next seller submission is from Tim C.who writes:  I've decided to sell the beast. Its just a rusty but trusty old suburban and it'll probably go to some yokel for $1000 but I'd love to see it go to a good home. We only had it for a few years but it was the car I hauled my newborn triplets around in so it has some serious sentimental value. I'd love to fix it back up but I've go no time or money so I thought I'd see if any one here might like it. Would be a great race car hauler, as long as gas stays cheap, it pulled a drag car before I bought it.  Find the beast, a 1986 GMC 2500 Suburban offered for $1400 in Corning, NY via craigslist.

5k Flash: Classic Tank: 1971 BMW 2500 E3

Before the BMW 5 and 7 series dotted the used automotive luxury sedan market like cornfields in Iowa, there was a medium sized sedan from BMW internally called the New Six.  In the US the car was known as the Bavaria, but in Europe they were badged based on engine size for the ultimate 'mine is bigger than yours' parking lot contest.  Find this 1971 BMW 2500 E3 sedan for sale in Reutlingen, Deutschland for 2,800 EUR ($3,650 at the time of publishing) via mobile.de.

The GMC C/K was a range of light duty pickup trucks built from 1960 through 1999.  The third generation of C/K series was built from 1975-1987 and is known to be an all around workhorse for yard workers, macho men and survivalists.  This 1985 GMC High Sierra 2500 was submitted by its seller and is for sale in Lebanon, MO for $3800 via craigslist.
