Who says you can't get a decent looking/running/driving 2-door V8 muscle car for $5,000 anymore? Okay, I admit, that was me, but the truth is you don't get much for your money these days and 2-door Mopar muscle is no exception. Find this 1966 Chrysler 300 2dr Hardtop offered for $5,500 in McKinleyville, CA via craigslist. The 2nd generation of the "non-letter" series Chrysler 300 was built from 1965 through 1968 on the Chrysler full sized platform as a replacement for the entry level Windsor. Under the hood is a 383 cubic inch B-series V8 that was good for 325 horsepower and 425 ft-lbs of torque when new.

This looks good. The 383 should move this big Mopar along pretty well. Seller states that it's ready to enjoy and I would do just that. Drive it and deal with the cosmetic issues the interior has and have a nice classic...with a parts car. Should sell quickly, just wish it was coming to live with me. Always liked the 60's Chrysler 300 and this sure seems like a fair price to me
ReplyDeleteI agree with triple C if the interior is not a mess this could be a nice buy need to keep those gas prices down to drive it around the block.....lol
ReplyDeleteLooks like the one I bought back in 1966 it was Dark Forest Green, got 8 miles to the gallon. It was $47500.00 new I wish I still had it.
