I love these, and you can easily get a 302 or, with a little more work, a 351 into the old Econolines, but dynamically they're pretty awful.
ReplyDeleteFor eight grand (and reserve not even met at that point) I'd rather have a really nice Model A with a B banger and juice brakes.
I had a 5-window version that I upgraded with a 302. Mine was the later version with a 6-250 so it was a bolt-in with junkyard parts. I have to question some of these "custom" touches-especially the Hardware Store grille, but the Auction reached the Reserve, and that's all that matters.
