Vader may have portrayed an all business, death-all-day-long persona, but on the inside, he was quite the fashion conscious socialite. Why else would he deal with helmet hair, platform heels, fumes from codpiece polish, and getting his cape stuck in automatically closing blast doors? 'Cause it made him look like a boss and feel great about his mangled body. This Sonett captures the Vader essence, mostly matte grey/black with just a hint of color up front.
Under the hood, you will find some serious cash from the builder; this thing has a ported and polished V4 engine with a high lift cam, and some serious billet bling. It might not be the most powerful thing in your local spaceport, but it looks like a million credits.
The attention to fine detail and craftsmanship continues on the inside, were the pilot is treated to a custom dash, complete with big red airplane style covered switches and lots of other custom trinkets.

That's quite a Sonett, though I'm still firmly in the 'Flat Looks Like Ass' camp.
ReplyDeleteStill just about my favorite intake of all time, a pair of 45DCOEs is almost as big as the engine and the long runners ought to make for magnificent midrange torque, but in a Sonett it'd be sticking through the hood like a 6-71.

DeleteA mad max-ified Sonett. Someone spent a lot of time modifying the car and probably vastly improved performance from stock. Too bad this wasn't done to an earlier car, which are prettier. Didn't they all come with column shifters? Cool that it was upgraded to a floor shift.
