The 4th generation slab-sided Lincoln Continental is an automotive icon - famous for its roll in the Kennedy assassination as it is for its trademark suicide doors long before it was used as a getaway car in the Matrix. Produced from 1960-1969, today it is a hipster's dream car and well kept or restored examples trade well above $20k, so its surprising and nice to see one for DT prices. We are happy to give a quick glimpse of this 1964 Lincoln Continental hardtop project for sale in Los Angeles, CA for $3500 via craigslist.
It looks like the pictures are taken in some kind of post-apocalyptic world with minimalist green lighting...

I was actually going to buy this car when it was on craigslist over a year ago and the guy was cool at first then he became a jerk and called me a few bad names when i started asking too many questions about the car, I remember him saying that he had to use a jug under the hood due to the fuel lines needing to be replaced, his dad had cut the spring and they need to be replaced, the gas tank needed servicing, the fuel pump needed rebuilding and it needed electrical work. I offered him 3000 and he turned it down for a day or so then contacted me but by that time I was over it and found one for $100.00 from an old man in Yuma, it had more issues such as rust but no mechanical stuff other than gas tank and rubber gaskets so I saved a ton and it has become a serious rebuild.
