Autocross Beast: 1998 Dodge Neon R/T SRT-4 Swap

Fewer cars have a worse reputation for being a cheap ride than the Dodge/Plymouth Neon.  It is true that the interior materials used in these cars is low rent, but the layout is decent enough and very functional.  First gen ACR model Neons made due with same DOHC engine that was available on lesser models.  It wasn't until the second gen car was introduced that Dodge blew the horsepower doors off the competition with the 2.4 turbo engine.  Today's feature has the very best of everything in the Neon universe on this R/T two door.  Find this 1998 Dodge Neon R/T for sale in Mamaroneck, NY for $8,500 via craigslist.

White Knight: 1992 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo

We all know the guy (or gal) who is obsessed with the 90s.  Always listens to U2, quotes Seinfeld, and rocks a Zach Morris hairdo with matching preppy sweater.  He probably drives a Camaro or C4 Vette...but it is probably because the dude isn't an investment banker and doesn't have much to spend on a car...but there are plenty of cheap awesome rides from the 90s that are better than a Chevy...like this 1992 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo offered for $12,000 in Kenosha, WI via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Solid Gold: 1976 Dodge Aspen R/T

by Glenn -- The 70's were a time of change for the car industry...gas shortages, smog equipment, and new safety regulations all had a major effect on car manufactures and consumers alike. Car designs started to evolve around new crash standards resulting in...well lets just say it wasn't pretty. Most North American cars were utilitarian in design with minimal differentiation from one brand to another. There were a few models that attempted to carry the torch beyond the dying muscle cars of yesteryear, like this low mileage 1976 Dodge Aspen offered for $8,500 in Allentown, PA via craigslist.

Police Cruiser: 2010 Dodge Charger R/T

For what seemed like decades the sight of Ford's Crown Victoria headlights in your mirror would reflexively bring a throttle lift to many an driver, ruining Porsches that happened to be mid turn and generally clogging up the roads.  Ford ended fleet sales of the aging Crown Vic in 2011, but Police Departments around the country were finding new sources for their pursuit vehicles from Chrysler and GM -- and today's used cop car comes from the land of the ram horns.  Find this  2010 Dodge Charger RT Police special offered for $9,999 in Yorba Linda, CA via craigslist.

6k: His and Hers: Dodge Spirit R/T and Daytona Iroc R/T

Wedding season is overspending season. We're obligated to lavish the young couple with matching "bride and groom" keepsakes of sentimental value simply because the registry says so. Not even in rural Sullivan, MO would you find a bridal registry including two matching turbocharged Dodges old enough to legally toast the happy couple with Walmart champagne. However, these two Dodges, listed separately but sold by the same seller, are tempting for the creative gifter. It's the thought that counts. Find this 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T and this 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T for sale in Sullivan, MO for $2,500 and $3,500, respectively, via craigslist.

5k: What's Your Spirit Animal? 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T

From 1991 through 1996 Dodge built a few boat loads of an abysmal family sedan on a stretched version of the Chrysler K-car, and badged it as the Dodge Spirit.  Most have mercifully been crushed into compact cubes for a trip to China to be recycled into the metal containers that hold the ass gaskets (Texas t-shirt, North Hollywood horse collar, paper cowboy hat, baloney in a butt-seat sandwich...whatever those things are called) above the toilet in a public restroom.  However, there was one particular flavor of the Spirit that is actually worth sparing from the jaw of the crusher -- the limited production (1208 built) '91-'92 R/T.  Find this 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T offered for $4,000 in St Louis, MO via craigslist.

1k: Strangely Appealing: 1992 Dodge Spirit R/T

The masses have spoken, and we have listened..or something like that.  A few of DT's regular commenters suggested that the Dodge Spirit R/T was worthy of a write-up...so of course we found the ugliest example on the web!  This isn't entirely true, but of the 1400 Spirit R/Ts sold in the US in 1991-1992, only a few are for sale right now.  Perhaps they have all been crushed, or scooped up by some savvy collector, but this cheap one could be a good deal.  Find this 1992 Dodge Spirit R/T offered here on craigslist for $1000 in Maquoketa, IA.

5k: Quick When New: 1976 Dodge Aspen R/T

The Dodge Aspen (and Plymouth Volaré) was the successor to the popular Dodge Dart platform and was bestowed with the 1976 Car of the Year award by Motor Trend.  The Aspen won't be headlining any auctions at Barrett-Jackson or Mecum in the near future, but it looks oddly cool in R/T trim and was surprisingly quick  when new.  Find this 1976 Dodge Aspen R/T offered for $6,000 in Hayward, CA via craigslist.  Tip from Kaibeezy.
