Guilty Pleasure: 1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo

The Dodge Daytona is a moped in the automotive landscape...one of those vehicles that is fun to ride until your friends find out.  It is also a "dirty secret longing" car...where you might like one, but you don't admit to anyone...but I'm here to yell it loud and proud -- The Daytona Turbo is awesome and you should own one or two or three. Trust me, you'll need the extra cars for parts to keep the "good" one on the road. Find this 1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo offered for $2500 in San Francisco, CA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

I Rarely Often Crash: 1993 Dodge Daytona IROC

This next car comes from tipper Jeff who writes: The only IROC i ever knew of was the Camaro! That's right, the IROC (International Race of Champions) badge is normally seen on Chevy's Camaro, but Dodge also used the badge on their Daytona and it was very similar to the Shelby Daytona with a 2.2 liter turbo-4 putting 224 horsepower to the front wheels. Find this 1993 Dodge Daytona IROC offered for $4,500 in Detroit, MI via craigslist.

International Race of Champions: 1993 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T

When you think of Pony cars from the 80's and 90's the Dodge Daytona probably doesn't come to mind.   Camaro Iroc Z's duked it out with Mustang 5.0's for king of the street during this time period.  Dodge slyly took over as primary sponsor of the IROC race series in 1991. The Daytona IROC R/T model ran from 1992-3 similar to the Spirit R/T sedan which shared the same 224 hp turbo drivetrain.  Twenty five years later, one could definitely make a solid argument that the Daytona and Spirit R/T models were ahead of their time and a look into the future.  Find this 1993 Dodge Daytona IROC R/T for sale in Canaan, CT for $4,500 CASH via craigslist.

McBurnie Corvette: 1973 Ferrari Daytona Replica

DT E-i-C Vince: This next feature is a  1973 Ferrari Daytona Replica is offered for $17,500 in Merritt Island, FL via craigslist.  The following are a few words of wisdom from tipper Doctodel.

Ohhhh, this SO needs to happen! Push up your linen sleeves, tuck the pink tee into your Sansabelts and ignore the funk emanating from your sockless Bally slip-ons, pal. This repro Daytona has "purposely ironic 80s throwback schlock" in spades...or keys-your choice.

6k: His and Hers: Dodge Spirit R/T and Daytona Iroc R/T

Wedding season is overspending season. We're obligated to lavish the young couple with matching "bride and groom" keepsakes of sentimental value simply because the registry says so. Not even in rural Sullivan, MO would you find a bridal registry including two matching turbocharged Dodges old enough to legally toast the happy couple with Walmart champagne. However, these two Dodges, listed separately but sold by the same seller, are tempting for the creative gifter. It's the thought that counts. Find this 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T and this 1992 Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T for sale in Sullivan, MO for $2,500 and $3,500, respectively, via craigslist.

15k: Goose Song: 1964 Studebaker Wagonaire Daytona

About a year ago, I posed the question of which Brooks Stevens designed wagonish vehicle would be best for your Daily Turismo - the Jeep Wagoneer with an AMC 390 V8, or the Studebaker Wagonaire with an ancient inline six. The slding-roof Stude has a certain presence all its own, but 112 hp is far from inspiring and $6k was kinda steep. Fast forward to last August, and DT Head Honcho Vince examined a far nicer, later, and V8-ier Wagonaire with an "R1" engine swap and a nice price of $7500. Today we go all the way, with a top-shelf Wagonaire Daytona to find out if an al fresco rear end and your Golden Lab's eternal happiness are worth almost twice as much as the last one. Find this Studebaker Wagonaire Daytona for sale in Santa Cruz, CA for $14000 via craigslist. Tip from the one & only Kaibeezy.

5k: Rarely Seen: 1964 Studebaker Daytona Convertible

The Studebaker Daytona, introduced in 1964, was a Brooks Stevens restyled version of the previous generation Lark and lasted until the lights went off at the Studebaker factories in 1966. Anyway, the Lark badges were left off the post '64 cars and you could get a Challenger, Commander, Daytona and Cruiser version depending on level of equipment and options.  Find this  1964 Studebaker Daytona Convertible offered for $3000 in Painesville , OH via craigslist. Tip from Doug.
