2JZ Swapped Wagon: 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD

Maybe I'm jaded...or maybe I've seen it all, but when I see a 2JZ swapped Mercedes-Benz wagon, I think to myself -- I've seen this car before...and while we here at DT have published our share (and everybody elses share too) of 2JZ (yo!) equipped Benzes, this particular car appears new to DT..but there must be something in the design of the W124 that lends it to 2JZ swaps, to the point that you can find engine/trans mount kits on on eBay. 10k: Axis Combo: 2000 BMW 323CI w/2JZ-GE Power

The E46 generation BMW 3-series is still considered a high water mark for the 3-series in terms of design, chassis, and drive-ability.  Around here you'll see us lavishing praise on the brutally fast (and honestly cheap) E46 M3, but the lesser 323/325/330 offerings offer a decent driving experience for a basic buy in.  Find this 2000 BMW 323CI w/2JZ Power here on eBay currently bidding for $9,000 with a few hours to go.

7k: A Pair of Starion-Crossed Turbos: 1989 Mitsubishi Starion, 2JZ-powered

Press the throttle a few inches in a normal Mitsubishi Starion (or Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth Conquest) and you'll get lag, followed by nice sounds, and then adequate thrust. However, "adequate" is one of those relative terms, like "sanity," in that it's always open for interpretation. Where a 2.6 liter 4G54 Astron engine once trundled in this Starion is now under authority by the twin-turbo, 3-liter legend, the 2JZ-GTE. And it comes with a classy maroon headliner. 5k: Unsold Adams: 1991 Mercedes-Benz 190E W201 w/2jZ swap

The Mercedes-Benz W201 chassis was a compact luxury sedan from Germany and wasn't very sporty unless equipped in the 2.3-16V version with dog-leg manual gearbox.  A gearhead could swap a different drivetrain into the W201, but we don't stumble upon them very often, so it is surprising to find this one.  This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 190E W201 is powered by a Toyota 2JZ and 5-spd manual transmission swap and for sale in Reading, PA for $5,000 via craigslist.
