Wrupra or Suprangler: 1997 Jeep Wrangler 2JZ Turbo

I had it for a minute...and then I lost it.  I swear I understood why someone built this car...YES, got it again...nope...gone, lost, kaput.  This is such an interesting combination of Supra off-roading capability mixed with Jeep speed and JC Whitney style that I haven't seen in a long time...or ever.  Find this 1997 Jeep Wrangler with 2JZ turbo power here on eBay offered for $18,500 buy-it-now or make-offer located in Elmhurst, NY.

5k: 2JZ-GTE Twin Turbo Swap: 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280C W114

If you've ever had the opportunity to see the third installment of the Fast and Furious franchise (Tokyo Drift), you might be interested to know how it really should have happened.  High school kids being made members of the Yakuza...sure...but the idea of the kid's hooker-loving dad owning that impeccable condition '67 Mustang fastback in Japan is just ludicrous.  On the other hand, he could have owned an aged Mercedes-Benz W114 and the movie would have been 1,000 times more realistic.  Find this 1973 Mercedes 280C W114 with 2JZ-GTE twin turbo power, offered for $4,500 in Redondo Beach, CA via craigslist.

7k: A Pair of Starion-Crossed Turbos: 1989 Mitsubishi Starion, 2JZ-powered

Press the throttle a few inches in a normal Mitsubishi Starion (or Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth Conquest) and you'll get lag, followed by nice sounds, and then adequate thrust. However, "adequate" is one of those relative terms, like "sanity," in that it's always open for interpretation. Where a 2.6 liter 4G54 Astron engine once trundled in this Starion is now under authority by the twin-turbo, 3-liter legend, the 2JZ-GTE. And it comes with a classy maroon headliner. Find this 1989 Mitsubishi Starion with Supra inline-6 in Orlando, FL for $6,995 with five days to go via eBay.

5k: 1993 BMW E36 325i Sedan with 2JZGTE TwinTurbo Engine Swap - Ultimate Sleeper

The E36 BMW was sold as the ultimate yuppie transport from 1992-1999 and while its handling was always lauded as balanced and fun, it could never be accused of being fast in a drag race - even the ///M3 version.  However, we think that shoehorning one of the worlds most tunable twin-turbo powerplants into a ratty looking sedan E36 is just about the definition of 'sleeper' - and its exactly happened to today's featured car.  This 1993 BMW 325i sedan has a 2JZGTE twin-turbo engine from the JDM Aristo (very similar to the USDM Supra engine) shoved into the engine bay and is current bidding on ebay at $5,402 with 2 days to go (located in SLC, Utah).
