The Packard Motor Car company of Detroit started rolling out cars way back in 1899, but it didn't go belly up until 1958 when the last badge engineered Studebaker rolled off an assembly line with a Packard badge...not a bad run for the average car company...quick, somebody tell Elon his little startup needs to last till 2064 before we believe it'll make it!  Find this 1952 Packard Sedan here on eBay bidding for $2026 reserve-not-met with a few hours to go. Str8 Ate: 1952 Packard 250 Deluxe

This next car comes from tipper John H who writes:  Not my car, just something I spotted on CL. It's a rather stodgy but handsome beast in grey and chrome and white sidewalls. Looks to be very original and absolutely immaculate - 65 years old and cleaner than any car I've ever owned (but then I've never owned a car with only 53K). Gotta love the herringbone upholstery and not just one, but two sets of fuzzy dice. Located in east-central Wisconsin, not far from Green Bay.  Find this 1952 Packard 250 Deluxe offered for $6,500 in Shawano/Clintonville/Wausau & other unpronounceable parts of Wisconsin via craigslist.

1936 DeSoto Airflow

The DeSoto Airflow was a revolutionary car when it was introduced for the 1934 model year.  While the average automobile had the aerodynamic profile of an inflated pufferfish, the Airflow looked slippery smooth and like something from the future.  This rusted and decrepit example looks more like something from the past...but an awesome past.  Find this 1936 DeSoto Airflow here on eBay offered for $5,500 buy-it-now located in Bisbee, AZ. The Buick Super was a pre-war full sized Buick sedan that was available with a straight-8 engine.  The Fireball DynaFlash straight-8 was the pinnacle of motoring refinement in its day and made 107 horsepower from its 4.1 liters when new. 10k: Bathtub Straight-8: 1950 Packard Eight 2-Door

In 1949 the Packard Motorcar Company celebrated its 50th year of building sleek cars, but by 1957 the Packard name was gone for good.  In 1950 Packard entered 7 models in the 1st Carrera Panamericana road race held in Mexico from 1950-1954.  In the same year this 1950 Packard Eight 2-Door "Bathtub" left the assembly line and began its long journey to where it sits today.  Find it here for sale in California's garlic capital, Gilroy, CA for $10,000 via craigslist.  Tip from KBZ
