This next car comes as a tip from Erik202 who writes: I have a strange desire to own one of these, I don't know exactly what it is, I am generally not drawn to things with the blue oval stuck to them but there was one that ran at the local dragstrip when i was a kid, definitely my first encounter with a Mach 1 of this body style.... mine would have to be a manual trans but this one meets most other requirements (ok maybe not price). Original Mobster: 1967 Triumph 2000 Mk1

The Triumph 2000/2500/2.5PI was a mid-sized family saloon car built in the UK from 1963 through 1977. It featured stylish sheet metal penned by Giovanni Michelotti (BMW New Class, DAF/Volvo trucks, Triumph Spitfire, and various Ferrari/Maserati things) and guts assembled by the Triumph Motor Company. Original Sky Blue: 1980 Datsun Pickup

I can't give a good justification why the big guns at Nissan decided to market their US offerings with the Datsun badge, but I'm going to say that I prefer the old Datsun name.  Perhaps it is because modern Nissans are such deplorable piles of plastic, but I miss the old days of the classic Datsun logo with dat sun in the middle. Original Green Paint: 1973 Dodge Challenger 340

To the casual observer, it could appear that Dodge entered the pony car wars almost a half a decade late with a big meaty E-body in 1970, but Dodge actually built a fastback pony car before the Mustang that was known as the Plymouth Barracuda.  However, we are here to talk about a car that shared the E-body with the third generation of Barracuda -- the Challenger. Appreciation For Origination: 1950 Ford Custom

 by The Professor -- Yes, that's right, I like them clean, mostly original, and CHEAP! (relatively speaking). Up for your consideration, a 1950 Ford Custom offered for $9,500 on Craigslist. Stodgy you say? Sure is. Homely you might even say? Maybe, but look at how clean that puppy looks. Can't you just see your old man, cruising along, puffing on his pipe, wife along side, with 2.5 kids riding in the back? And the dog, don't forget the family dog. No word on how many repaints it's had, or how recently, but it looks to be well done from here. OK, so it's a 4 door sedan, I might have ho hummed this one too, but, look under the hood.

Original White: 1975 Porsche 914

If you want to pick up an aircooled classic Porsche that isn't a total basket case for less than $10k, there is only one game in town -- the Porsche 914.
