Mazda Inside: 1967 Jaguar XKE E-Type Kit

Every time I make a blanket statement, I get in trouble.  Arrgg...I just did it again.  The statement I made the other day was something about kit cars being mostly replica Cobras and things based on Volkswagen Beetle chassis and that the Jag kit was interesting and unique...and then we got a tip for another Jag kit car, this one based on an RX-7, complete with 13B rotary power?  Whaaa??  Why didn't I know about this?  Who wouldn't want the nimble reflexes of an FB RX-7 mated with the gorgeous looks of an E-Type convertible...even if it is a "gasp" kit car.  Find this 1967 Jaguar XKE E-Type Kit offered for $22500 in West Babylon, NY via craigslist. Tip from Cory.

Cheapest You'll Find: 1968 Jaguar E-Type Coupe

What's an E-Type worth these days if the front end looks charred and you can't even tell if it is the gorgeous coupe or the ungainly 2+2...which can't be that ungainly if you have a hard time telling it apart from the coupe...but I think this is a 2 seat coupe version offered for a fraction of the typical going price. Find this 1968 Jaguar E-Type Coupe offered for $11,500 in Walnut Creek, CA via craigslist.

Ford (not Chevy) V8 Powahh: 1966 Jaguar XKE 2+2

The XKE Jaguar came in a few flavors -- the gorgeous topless model, the curvy coupe and the slightly bulbous 2+2...which isn't really as bad as it sounds -- personally i'd drive one every day if they weren't so bloody expensive...oh...wait a minute.  Find this 1966 Jaguar XKE 2+2 offered for $15,000 near Kansas City, KS via craigslist.  Tip from Rock On!

Hold My Beer: 1968 Jaguar-ish Custom

The seller claims this next car started out as  Jaguar E-Type 2+2 coupe that had been in a roll-over accident, but it looks more like Luke Skywalker's landspeeder than anything...so I'm going to assume that wormholes in the space-time continuum had something to do with the fact that you can own this thing today.  Find this 1968 Jaguar-ish Custom here on eBay bidding for $5,800 reserve-not-met with $80k buy-it-now located in Carson City, NV. Tip from Dave.

Barn Found: 1971 Jaguar XKE Type III V12

The Jaguar E-Type is the classic that needs little introduction to the automotive world, however I feel that I need to bring one thing up before we go any further.  You might want to shove a carburetor fed small block chevy into the engine bay, but don't do it.  You wouldn't roll up a cigarette made from Earl Grey tea, would you?  Find this 1971 Jaguar XKE Type III V12 offered for $12,500 in Palmer, AK via craigslist.  Tip from Zach Z.

That'll Buff Out: 1968 Jaguar E-Type 2+2

Whoa, a sub $10k Jaguar E-Type...did that mail order time machine finally arrive?  Are we in 1982?  <checks smartphone calendar>...nope, says 2015...but then I'm not sure how you are supposed to tell the date from a calendar if you were to travel back in time..what is going on?  Oh...somebody dropped a forklift on the front end...you will need to spend some time with your orbital buffer.  But first you'll need to buy this 1968 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 offered for $7,500 in Sheridan, WY via craigslist.  Tip from Zach Z.

10k: Break The Internet: 1967 Jaguar E-Type Custom

Ever see a person on the street covered head-to-toe with ink and wonder how it all started?  Just one little tattoo to mark a right of passage or something they did while drunk.  A few more tattoos later and suddenly that arm won't look good unless the entire thing is a full sleeve tat and then you may as well finish those angel wings on your back....  This, too, is how car customization happens.  It starts with something harmless like a pine tree air freshener and soon enough your Jaguar E-Type  is powered by a big block Ford NASCAR engine and has a more customized rear than Kim Kardashian.  Like this 1967 Jaguar E-Type Custom currently bidding here on eBay for $13,600 reserve-not-met with 3 days to go.  Tip from Ignacio.

27k: ReasonablE-Priced: 1968 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Convertible Series 1.5 Project

Our Sunday pick-me up celebration continues with a car that Jeremy Clarkson once famously called the "car of the century."  "The beguiling, bewitching, beautiful E-Type Jag" isn't often seen on the pages of DT because they are rare (supply) and sought after (demand) classics and typically live in the garages of the well-to-do.  That is not the case with this convertible that is currently bidding for around the MSRP of a well optioned Honda Accord.  Find this 1968 Jaguar E-Type for sale Watkinsville, GA and currently bidding on ebay for $27,000 with 3 hours to go.
