DTO: Pickup The Grey Poupon: 1961 Rolls Royce Dually

This crazy monster first showed up in a comment by K2 Mystery Car -- and I wasn't going to feature it because the price was insane.  But, I kept seeing visions of this thing in my sleep...nightmares really...so in order to appease the dually gods, I figure it might be a good idea to feature it.   Find this 1961 Rolls Royce Dually offered for $75,000 buy-it-now or make-offer, here on eBay located in Port Richey, FL.  Tip from K2 Mystery Car. 


There isn't much to say about this thing.  It is advertised as a 1961 Rolls Royce mounted on a Chevy 1-ton dually chassis. 


What better vehicle for starting your own high end lawn car service...however, the asking price is a bit nuts...but I'm still concerned about having more nightmares tonight, so I won't say anything mean.

    The Silver Shadow body didn't show up until - '67? And that one's got the big front bumper. '81, maybe?

    Still think this is gorgeous, it'd have been even more impressive with a Duramax under the hood but I'm guessing that wouldn't have fit anyway.

    You are entirely correct in that this vehicle haunts you and despite wanted to un-see it badly, it's actually beautifully done.

    Needs a diesel badly. I bet it's comfortable as no other one ton dually could be. Because rolls.

    This thing is like a reverse mullet. Party in the front, business in the back.

    The sum of all the parts are greater than the whole here. The body makes the pickup fantastic. The running gear makes the Rolls fantastic.

    $10k for a decent crew cab, $10k for a Rolls, $10k to a mad scientist to put them together, = $75k Bonus profit if one or the other was wrecked, the mad scientist is on your payroll, or you were able to sell the unused Rolls parts. He has some tail lights for a '76 listed for $400. Nice work though, you don't see the frame.
