"I love it when a plan comes together" -- John "Hannibal" Smith of the A-Team. DT's in-house/out-house master of graphics Kaibeezy delivered a new badge late last week - called the Flatbrimmer badge. You probably noticed it on the E36 M3 market update posting from yesterday and can see it on the left. The badge was created a few days ago but you just won't believe the car that Kaibeezy found on his local craiglist today. Find this 1987 Suzuki Samurai for sale in San Leandro, CA for $2,000 via craigslist.
I can't imagine that someone saw the DT badge yesterday and quickly ran out to the paint shop for some green paint and slapped this thing together...but...the data does seem to indicate that this is a possibility. And unlike other sites where you can just pay some money and any overpriced piece of junk gets listed, you need to post an inexplicable self portrait, mention the Daily Turismo or paint your car to match a DT badge. It is really quite simple...
The highlights of this posting is that it is a Suzuki Samura, 4X4, salvage title, manual transmission, no mechanical problems and no roof. Ready for next year's St Patrick's day parade.

That is an eerie likeness. The recent Autobianchi has a blue hatch-y looking badge that sort of resembles a smushed Porsche 356, but it's close.
ReplyDeleteIf this thing had a top, I'd buy it for my daughter, put it in storage for 6 years and then, on her Sweet 16, roll it out and take a photo of the disappointed look on her face. Still, she'd be the COOLEST kid at her high school. And, she would not have any excuse for missing school during a snow storm.
