Manual Ice Box: 1990 Honda Accord EX

I've had a number of conversations with "in the know" car guys who agree that the market for cheap (sub $4k) cars has changed in the past few years.  The days of finding cars that are simply depreciated and not slammed, stanced, bashed, or bro'd for a few thousand dollars is maddeningly behind us.  It seems that even the most basic piece of transportation is being offered at a mighty high price...so it is refreshing when something like this next car comes across the DT desk.  It has a manual gearbox, a nice clean Honda paint job and interior. Find this 1990 Honda Accord EX offered for $2500 in Chandler, AZ via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Boosted D16: 1998 Honda Civic EX Turbo

This next car comes from tipper Jeff who writes: To borrow an analogy, putting this much boost through a SOHC is like eating 6 Taco Bell burritos and trusting a fart... it's only a matter of time. That being said, if it's built right and the seller has the sheet/receipts to prove it, talk about a wicked sleeper.  Find this 1998 Honda Civic EX Turbo offered for $6,200 in St Helens, OR via craigslist.

Keep 'Em Running: 1992 Honda Accord EX

Our discussion the other day about craigslist, Hemmings, and BaT brought out some interesting observations on the "collector" car market and it seemed a consensus here on DT people want cheap but interesting cars that can be driven...not stupidly overpriced show queens that are only valueable if the odometer reading is kept low.  (Did you all see that '97 Toyota Supra Turbo with 69k miles that sold for $176,000 at Barrett-Jackson...why??!?! It's not even stock!!  Uggg...people are stupid.  You could have a C3 Corvette, a different MkIV Supra, and a house in Cincinnati for that much!!!).  Anyway, if you want a sub $5k car that'll keep you entertained for a few months, I think this next car is a good candidate. Find this 1992 Honda Accord EX offered for $3200 in Fairfield, OH via craigslist. Tip from Darren.

Oddball F23A Swapped: 1997 Honda Accord EX Wagon

If you visit the island of Japan you will find many people driving small wagons, but for whatever reason the Japanese product planners decided that American buyers didn't want (or deserve?) to get the 5-door version of most of their machines.  An exception is the 5th generation of the Honda Accord, like this 1997 Honda Accord EX Wagon offered here on eBay for $2,800 buy-it-now or make-offer, located in Irvine, CA.

Seller Submission: 2003 Honda Accord EX-V6 Coupe 6-Speed

In 2003 Honda introduced the new version of their world beating mid-sized Accord sedan, the seventh generation for North American consumption.  It maintained the same understated looks, unquestionable reliability, and excellent value as the previous Accords, but there was a new Sheriff in town -- the 2-door EX version which now (for the first time) combined the slick 6-speed manual gearbox with Honda's 3 liter V6.  Find this 2003 Honda Accord V6 Coupe 6-Speed offered for $6,600 in Capitola, CA via craigslist.  Seller submission from Tim.
