Today's Coffee Brake is by K2 Mystery Car: The Nike swoosh, the Golden Arches of McDonalds…these are iconic symbols of our times. So familiar that we take them for granted, they’re the signs of our time in all their marketing glory.
Resident Daily Turismo artist KBZ, enslaved for many years in a dark dungeon and driven by the all-too-frequent sting of El Jefe’s cat o’ nine tales, continues to churn out the visual thumbprint for our viewing pleasure. Let's take a moment to examine some of his finest work.Which one is your favorite and which one confuses you the most (clearly an intentional ploy)? tips@dailyturismo.com Read more about KBZ's icon creation process here.

Deletehere's a selection showing some of what i like to call "badge engineering" - do you prefer the scrawny or plump fish-nor-fowl? - plus a couple that might not have been seen yet - yes, that's italian > french-italian > swedish-italian (leans left, capisce?)

Those are awesome! I love the ejection seat and the Sharkchicknado thing just scares me.
DeleteOne of the things that struck me (things usually strike me, so there's nothing odd about that) are the file names. It's just not something that we see, unless we go out of our way to figure it out. Hilarious. In particular, "hellaflushed" tickled my fancy. Some of the icons are even animated! That's pretty cool, I hadn't seen those in the time I've been here.

Someday, I want to "win" a Twister and this would make a great prize. I love the one you made me and I'd love one for my Shadowagon but until I win that Twister, I can only dream...dream the impossible dream...
