Whoa...look at that trunk scoop!! This vitamin-B pee yellow 914 will never qualify as a sleeper, the 50 lb dog food sack sized air scoop sticks out like a hunchback in a police lineup. A quick peak under the frunk instantly confirms that the original air cooled engine has been replaced with something that needs water cooling...but what could it be...a Chevy V8, a Subaru Flat-4, RX-7 rotary...
This 914 is powered by an Acura Legend V6, probably the C32A, a 3.2 liter SOHC (actually, it is dual cam, but only one per bank) engine that puts out 230 horsepower and 206 ft-lbs of torque. That roll cage looks like it could use some attention. The front downtubes are mitered and the "main hoop" is downright scary. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteI think "roll cage" is too generous of a term to use in this case. More like "death cage" and/or a place to bang your un-helmeted head since it's in a street car.
