What Am I? El Chupacabra Pillar

Welcome to another edition of DT's cure for the Monday morning blues -- What Am I?  In this better than being eaten by a legendary cryptid game we find a random picture of a car and you get to guess what it is.  Today's feature comes featured image has two questions, first what on earth is the creature that just caused me to soil my Recaro, and second, what car is this c-pillar attached to? Just what am I anyway? Update with answer below.


In case the artist who created this image is on a work-release program or otherwise not institutionalized, I want to say that I really like it.  I was going to scribe a jailhouse style tattoo of the design on my calf, but alas, my cassette player just stopped spinning and I am fresh out of guitar string.


Update: The commenters who ID'd this as a Mercedes were indeed correct, it is a W108.  This junkyard dog is a 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280S W108 chassis that is offered for a bargain price of $750 via craigslist, located in Lancaster, CA.  Make sure your rabies vaccination is up-to-date.
