I'm really conflicted about this car.  It is a survivor, but its been grounded to the ground with airbags and rides on pimped out rims.  Its got stock inline-6 with a big aluminum radiator and looks really nice in the pictures.  It is missing a huge chunk of originality, but with performance of a base model economy car from 1971.  What do you do with it? Mid Week Match-Up: First Project Car

It is the Wednesday, so that means it's time for another edition of Daily Turismo's weekly game of anti-slug bug (which is played by punching anyone who suggests playing slug bug) also known as Mid Week Match-Up!  Last week we found the best Horrorods in time for Halloween, but it is time for healing...so...bring on some suggestions for a first project car.  Budget should be kept low (less than $8k) and the focus should be on a car that a young person (or old person who is new to cars) can learn about wrenching.  Doesn't need to be a car that needs a rotisserie restoration, and something that runs is preferred, perhaps just old enough it will break down and you'll need to learn how to fix it.

5k: 1969.5 Ford Maverick; It Ain't Easy Being Anti-Establish-Mint Green
