Crown Vicster: 1999 Ford Crown Victoria

The Crown Victoria was the prefered Police car for decades because it was rugged and perfect for stakeouts, traffic patrol, chasing bad guys, and hauling perps...but this next example will be good for exactly ZERO of those things because it is now a 2-door convertible.  Find this 1999 Ford Crown Victoria offered for an undisclosed pile of cash located in Toledo, OH via Kruznkleen.com.  Tip from Roni.

Why Is The Ad Still Live? 1970 Volvo 1800S and 1972 Triumph GT6

Reader Erik writes to us: Do you guys ever come across ads for awesome cars only to click on them and then find out in the text that the car just sold? Do you have a feature for that? It happened to me twice this week (links below).  Yeah, I don't get that.  The car is sold, but instead of deleting the advertisement, folks leave it up and amend the title with sold.  Are they gloating?  And it is always the best deals...sometimes makes me wonder if it is some 3rd party trying to change the market.

Ready For James May: 1986 Buick Regal

The Grand Tour has been a surprisingly good replacement for the old BBC Top Gear -- the new BBC version with the guy from Friends and the guy with the big glasses (oh wait...goggles guy got the sack) had the same great production value but was lacking in chemistry.  It was as if NASA had been given the job of creating the next generation Mazda MX-5 -- building a wonderful display of technology but completely lacking in soul.  When Hammond, Clarkson, & May left they took all of the character away -- including such seemingly meaningless (to a TV executive) things as May's paisley shirts.  You might not want to wear an ugly shirt like May, but you could drive in the next best thing -- find this 1986 Buick Regal offered for $3,000 near Chiraq, IL. Tip from RockOn.

A Conversation: 1973 Triumph Stag

The following is an unscripted real world internet conversation about this 1973 Triumph Stag (offered for $1999 in SLC, UT) between DT's CFlo & tipper extraordinaire Zach.

Zach:  Somebody else's problem can now be yours. Engine inclusion unclear. That said, may clean up well. What engine would you put into it?

CFlo:  "Somebody else's problem can now be yours!"  That should be the headline of every used car ad, ever.

Coffee Brake: Lettuce Discuss

Time for another Coffee Brake, but this week instead of providing a subject for discussion, I am going to open it up for you, the reader.  Go ahead, ask something of your fellow DT reader, mention what you are doing this weekend, whatever.

Happy Friday to all DT readers, dogs, skunks, and professional thumb wrestlers.  Today for fun, I am going to open up the comments to anything you might want to discuss.
