Lord Vader's Chariot: 1978 Chevrolet Impala Aerocoupe

Personal two door coupes sold by the truck loads in the 60's-70's-80's, but are hardly produced any longer in 2018.  Today's Impala coupe has been given a Grand National style black out treatment and the results look almost vintage AMG like by my eye.  Under the hood features a Chevy LS swap that should motivate the car much more than the stock engine.  The unique three sided rear glass is not likely something you would want to find a replacement for at this point in time.  Find this 1978 Chevy Impala for sale in Fernandina Beach, FL for $9,000 via craigslist.

Hubcaps & Blackwalls: 1995 Buick Roadmaster

The last General Motors body on frame car the was sold in 1996.  Police, taxi drivers, and most DT readers mourned the loss and had to migrate over to the last of the Mohicans: Ford's Panther platform.  The Buick Roadmaster and cousin Cadillac Fleetwood are the only cars that almost look normal (proper even?) with white wall tires and a vinyl roof.  The B-body cars are old school in a number of ways, but their stock 235/70/15 tire size stands out most in comparison to today's rubber band spec tires.  Find this 1995 Buick Roadmaster for sale in Westbury, NY area for $3,850 via craigslist.

Cleanmaster: 1993 Buick Roadmaster w/ 38k miles

The Buick Roadmaster certainly has its fans around these parts; the body-on-frame finale of GM's Land Yacht division was available as a 4-door sedan, yes, but more importantly as a full-on wagon, akin to the Chevy Caprice. Ford may have made the Crown Victoria until 2011, but this whale you see here is the last of the real traditional American wagons. Imagine our shock when finding one with a claimed 38,000 original miles. Find this 1993 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon for sale in Carlsbad, CA for $6,800 on Better Way Auto's website. Tip from Hunsbloger!
