      I was kidding with you as I had no idea what it was. I figured it was some German military vehicle but IDK means I Don't Know and yes I'm familiar with DKW (the anagram that we used for a '63 DKW 2 stroke was "Damn Kool Wonder ...that it runs" Perhaps it makes better sense with the explanation, but the humor has definitely been squashed out of it.
      Also knowing Vince's penchant for misdirection, I suspect you have the win as it looks like an upside down Schnellaster..to me..

      Longlivekei -- yes, it is a DKW Schnellmaster van with the hood up. Find it bidding here on ebay bidding for $10k.

    I believe the pic is of the back side of the hood as it is open.

    Bonus, it's using bits from an aircooled VW, cousin by marriage (DKW -> Auto Union -> Audi -> VWAG).
