This next car is touted by the seller as "RARE and AMAZING" (ALLCAPS ARE HIS) which might be a bit of a stretch, but it seems like an awfully nice car for the money, but not one bit awful. Find this 1963 Volvo PV544 offered for $8,500 in Oakland, CA via craigslist. Tip from Kaibeezy. The PV544 was a B18 inline-4 powered 2-door sedan (fastback?) built by the guys at Volvo from 1958 through 1965 with only minor styling changes over the years. Today's PV544 looks in really nice shape and was a feature in the 2105 indy film The Diary of a Teenage Girl (which looks unbelievably wretched from the trailer and is most certainly an offense against taste and decency).
See another well preserved/restored classic that isn't offered at a stupid asking price? tips@dailyturismo.com

How do you say Cheech and Chong in Swedish?
ReplyDeleteFunny you should mention wheels...because we actually had a discussion about the wheels, with a few folks saying that they worked because the styling is so derivative of American 50s cars, so putting a wheel that would be on a '55 Chrysler makes some sense. They are a bit too chromey...would look better with a set of black NASCAR style steelies.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes they do.
