Kardashian Wide Body: 1981 Mazda RX-7

The typical modified Mazda RX-7 you'll find on these pages has some sort of carburetor fed domestic V8 shoved under the hood...but not today. Today we've got a first gen RX-7 that still sports Wankel power, which is odd because it has GT-R emblem on the back and some of the widest Kardashian fender flares I've ever seen. Find this 1981 Mazda RX-7 offered for $6900 in Omaha, NE via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Auction Watch: 1987 Mercedes 420 SEL Widebody

Find this 1987 Mercedes 420 SEL in Minneapolis, MN bid to $228 as of 7/8/18 ending on Tuesday.  This German expression of the 1980's is in need of some TLC as it now appears like a patient on those reality shows for people who have had too much plastic surgery.  Bonus Craiglist listing is provided below for the unobtainium super wide BBS wheels to fill out those fender arches.

Wider Is Better: 1987 Alfa Romeo Milano Gold

The Alfa Romeo Milano was the last car fully developed before Fiat's takeover of the company from the Italian govt in 1986.  Milano sedans are known for their bizarre non symmetrical styling cues.  The Milano was the final iteration of the Alfa type 116 transaxle cars (last weeks Alfetta turbo).  They sell for pennies on the dollar compared to BMW E30's these days which is all the more reason to talk about them here.  Speaking of BMW, the Alfa Busso V6 and the M20 straight six both share the less than desirable 30k timing belt change intervals.  Today's car is not concours condition, but does have a unique flared body kit that would be near impossible to replace in any fender bender.  Find this 1987 Alfa Romeo Milano for sale in Newfield, NY for $2,300 via craigslist.

No Door Handles- 1997 Lexus SC400 Widebody

You could make the argument that the Lexus SC400 is a Supra in a tuxedo similar to the Lincoln Mark IV and Mustang (written up here a couple weeks ago). It is safe to say that most any car is better or more certainly interesting as a widebody.  However, it's the details, details, and details that make or break a modified car.  Today's SC400 has a nice looking Duraflex wide body kit, but is ultimately let down by a few questionable mods that ultimately leave this one almost there.  Find this 1997 Lexus SC400 for sale in Stamford, CT for $8,000 via craigslist.

Auction Watch: 1987 Mercedes 560 SEC Koenig Wide Body

Looking to impersonate a villain from a Miami Vice episode?  We have just the car for you.  Find this 1987 Mercedes 560 SEC Koenig Wide Body bid to $10,000 via Ebay in Howell, NJ.  Koenig offered a supercharger and twin turbo kit, but there is no mention of either one or even a engine picture in this lousy ad.
