Bag & Tagged: 2004 Mini Cooper

The re-invented 21st century Mini was designed/developed around the turn of the century in a collaboration between Rover and BMW...but ultimately the design was much more Munich and not so much Gaydon.  The car was produced in Oxford, England, but with an American designer, French engines, and German engineering, so it is about as British as bratwurst, Laissez-faire politics, or the metric system.  It was, however, a paradigm of practicality, maneuverability, and unpretentious fun...this next example...not so much.  Find this 2004 Mini Cooper offered for $2,600 in Kennesaw, GA via craigslist. Weird wedge: 1986 TVR 280i twin turbo

How plausible is the following scenario? Miami Vice TVR 280i chase car is found in Florida garage with a blown engine, next JDM fan owner swaps in a Toyota 1JZ twin turbo engine, and then car is sold to a buyer who fits a stanced wheel/tire combo so it can be shown off at the H20 festival.  This is about the only scenario that seems to make any sense as to what may have happened to this car.  Find this 1986 TVR 280i for sale in East NY, NY for $10,000 via craigslist.

1k: Ran When Borked: 2004 Porsche 911 Speedster Custom

What, another Porsche?  C'mon guys, enough of these overpriced prick-mobiles!   Now just hang on a minute -- this isn't a $150k Porsche 930 in driver condition, this is a Porsche 996 custom speedster offered for less than a 3 day stay at the Ritz Carlton.  This is the real deal.  It is such a good deal that I waited until the auction has ended and saved you the $2650 that someone else paid to pickup this 2004 Porsche 911 Speedster offered here on eBay.

10k: More Pitchforks? 1972 BMW Bavaria E3 Slammed

First DT features a stanced W108 Mercedes-Benz and now an E3 Bavaria?  Hold on, before you start soaking the torch tips in kerosene, take a closer look at today's feature and you may find it to be workable.  Find this 1972 BMW Bavaria E3 for sale in San Luis Obispo, CA for $9,000 via craigslist.  Photos from stanceworks.com

10k: Bagged And Tagged: 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250S Custom W108

For better or worse the Mercedes-Benz W108 is on DT's short list of good classic sedans to own and drive.  Most W108s are somewhere between minty clean museum pieces and mouse eaten monsters, but seldom are they modified by the stance crowd.  Get out your pitchforks because this W108 is slammed on airbags and lower than the Fisker stock options.  Find this 1966 Mercedes-Benz 250S custom W108 for sale in Folsom, CA for $12,200 via craigslist.  Tip from Brian P.
