The age-old tradition of politicians making stump speeches from the backs of trains (or actual tree stumps...) is totally dead, mostly because politicians are busy flying around in those wacky aeroplanes nowadays. Gravy Train: 1925 Pullman Erie 400, JP Morgan's Personal Rail Car
The age-old tradition of politicians making stump speeches from the backs of trains (or actual tree stumps...) is totally dead, mostly because politicians are busy flying around in those wacky aeroplanes nowadays. I think we should bring back the whistle-stop tours and I can't imagine a better platform than this 1925 Pullman Erie 400 that was JP Morgan's personal rail car here on eBay for $350,000 or roughly half of the Presidents' Day: 1995 Renegade Custom Trike

If history has taught us anything, it's that military generals don't make very good presidents. A general is accustomed to obtaining objectives through the use of superior firepower -- and that doesn't always translate well to the nuanced political landscape, but several generals did end up in the White House, including Dwight D. Eisenhower. However, the meat that makes up a politician and military man are very different, sort of like the difference between a V8 muscle car and a motorcycle, but put them together and you get this 1995 Renegade Custom Trike here on eBayPresidents' Day: 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII

It's Presidents' Day here in the US of A -- a celebration that is technically in recognition of George Washington's birthday (Feb 22nd) but has taken on significance as a celebration of all U.S. presidents alive or dead. DT takes it as a chance to celebrate cars named after presidents, like this 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII offered here on eBayMonday, February 18, 2013
15k Almost-Presidential; 1964 Rambler American 440 Classic; Mitt Romney's Dad's Car

In the words of the immutable agent 86 Maxwell Smart: "Missed it by that much.." Republican nominee Mitt Romney was an almost president who was able to achieve 47 percent of the popular vote in a ironic twist on his words about the other 47 percent. Today to finalize our Presidents' Day celebration, we are proud to feature this 1964 Rambler American 440 Classic that ex-candidate Romney's father (George Romney, CEO of the American Motors Corp during the 1960s) owned and is now for sale in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, currently bidding on ebay for $10,100 with 3 days to go. (updated - thanks to Scot for the tip!)

10k Presidential: 1948 Slick Willys Jeep w/L-Head Power

William Jefferson Clinton served as the 42nd president of the United States and was known for governing in a time of prolonged economic expansion and having fantastic hair. The iconic Willys Jeep was manufactured in about as many types as the 42nd Commander in Chief had trysts - for those who are new to WWII or Slick Willy, the numbers are large, but undocumented. This 1948 Slick Willys Jeep with matching wagon is for sale in Denver, CO, currently bidding at $5,049 reserve-not-met with 7 days to go. (thanks to Scot for the Slick Willys Jeep idea!)
