Glori..Gloria...Gloriaaaaa, GLORIA: 2003 Infiniti M45 Y34

The Y34 generation M45 was sold in the US market for the 2003 and 2004 model years only, and in very limited numbers (8000 or so if you believe the web).  The M45 was sold as a competitor to the BMW 540i, Audi S6 or Mercedes-Benz E500 and you don't see many around partially because it didn't have a basic entry model...but I think that only ads to the allure.  Plus the styling is downright sweet and doesn't look aged like the previous mentioned competition from 15 years ago. Find this 2003 Infiniti M45 Y34 offered for $4900 in Houston, TX via craigslist. Tip from Jeff.

She Make Me Feel All-Right: 1992 Nissan Gloria Brougham Y32

Assumptions are a bad thing to make...and for years I just assumed that the song Gloria that I'd heard on the radio a thousand times was belted out by Mic Jagger of the Rolling Stones...but the guy who shouts out "She make me feel all-right...and her name is G-L-O-R-I...G-L-O-R-I-A GLORIA" was in fact Van Morrison singing with his group Them.  So the  moral of this story might be that you should never judge a book by its cover...and you might just drive right by this car and assume it was some kind of Nissan Maxima...but it isn't...it is the superb Y32 rear-drive generation Nissan G-L-O-R-I-A GLORIA! Find this 1992 Nissan Gloria Brougham Y32 offered for $6,995 in Seattle, WA via craigslist. Tip from JB1025.

2003 Infiniti M45

If you remember back to 2003, Infiniti tried their very hardest to lure nostalgic baby boomers into their showrooms with an ad campaign that featured muscle cars and the requisite stereotypes. Sweaty, hypothalamus dominant men in their Camaros and Road Runners plowed through corners with tire punishing understeer and smoked Comp T/A’s while their girlfriends grew progressively less impressed with every neutral drop. Meanwhile, a mature and fairly rational fellow who had presumably traded his Toyonda Camcord on something a bit more engaging was featured as our protagonist. That campaign sold enough cars to now allow us to have them for a song. Find this 2003 (Nissan Gloria) Infiniti M45 on craigslist in LA for $4,500…and it’ll probably be there a while because it’s spelled wrong. This post is part of DT's 2016 Birthday Celebration of 100 cars; enjoy the ride!

Japanese Midsize: 1969 Nissan Prince Gloria

Chances are you've seen a few Nissan Glorias on the road in the past few years, but on this side of the Pacific they are badged as the Infiniti M45.  However, today's Gloria dates from back when a company named Prince had recently been merged with Nissan, bringing with it a large sedan.  Find this 1969 Nissan Prince Gloria offered for $11,000 in Milwaukee, WI via craigslist. 5k: So much details! 1995 Nissan Gloria Y32

We've covered Nissan Gloria Y34 chassis cars in the past, because they were imported in the USA as the Infiniti M45, but the Y32 generation Gloria was never officially imported to the USA.  That doesn't mean you can't get them, but it does mean you need to be sure what you are finding isn't going to run afoul of the trigger happy folks at DHS's Customs and Border Protection.  The seller says this car is 100% legit, but since it isn't 25 years old, it is always best to check and double check the paperwork on a grey market import.  Find this 1995 Nissan Gloria Y32 offered for $7,900 in Manteca, CA.  Tip from FuelTruck.
