bolting in roll bars and installing seat-belts does not make it street legal. The last time I checked my local codes, you had to cover all tires with fenders. I would suggest checking with your insurance company about this home-built.

Well it’s not another T bucket or A , and the geo makes a surprisingly nice generic car shaped thing with doors, but I can’t imagine why it’s not titled as a 1939 Chevy rather than as a Geo. I thought the point of these was to have the title on the oldest part of the vehicle so as to only need to meet the letter of the law as it was in 1939.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that local requirements don't require any inspection for something 25 years or older, and that he had to use the VIN off the cowl or dash to title the car.
