7.2 Big Block: 1968 Plymouth Fury III

Some cars are all hat and no horse, but today's Plymouth is packing heat (literally no AC car here).  This Fury III has been fitted with the enthusiast's buffet: 440 big block, loud exhaust, B&M ratchet, and posi rear end.  Domestic sedans do not command big resale dollars so you can save up for for all gas which you will consume if you rack up any miles on this thirsty beast.  Find this 1968 Plymouth Fury III for sale in Bremerton, OR WA for $3,500 via craigslist.  Tip from fuel truck.


Details from the seller:

I found this beauty 4 years ago and sunk a lot of time and money into restoring her interior and drivetrain. Now it seems, the love affair is over and it's time to move on to other adventures. It was fun while it lasted and I know so much about the car and would like to pass her on to someone who will either finish restoring her or at least keep driving her.

Originally a 318 car, now has a 68 440 / 727 w/ manual valve body and B&M stealth pro ratchet shifter. 3.23 suregrip. 2.5" dual exhaust w/ dump-outs. Call for engine particulars.

New black carpet, headliner and reupholstered bucket seats. New windshield. Original black dash and door panels are near pristine. (non A/C car)

Patched trunk pan is coated with POR15. Powder coated spare tire. Comes with many new parts and extra parts (hood, grill, fender and various trim pieces).

Nice fender skirts, but lower quarters need patch work done as well as a little door skin corrosion. Passenger fender is dented, but I found another complete fender. 

Just needs body work, paint and TLC to be all dressed up and ready for Summer-time cruising. 
New lower price. Price includes all the spare parts I have collected for it. 


The car presents very well from the pictures and doesn't appear to need any mechanical work.  Seeing you would not likely recoup your money on any body work, it would appear driving the car as-is would be the best plan of attack.  The interior looks pretty well put together for a car of this vintage.
