Coffee Brake: Coronado Speed Festival 2015

This past weekend I had the extreme fortune of attending the 2015 Coronado Speed Festival, hosted by the SVRA, and run on the North Island Navy base as part of the Fleet Week celebrations.  This is an event I've attended in the past, but this year someone handed me a yellow safety vest and told me I had the run of the place...just don't get run over.  Armed with a dSLR camera, 300mm zoom lens, sunscreen, media pass, and a giant hat I snapped a few hundred photos.

This was a fantastic event, I really can't recommend it enough for any SoCal car nuts, but I might be biased because DT commenter Euromoto (and Mark Dill from firstsuperspeedway.com) helped hook me up with access to the Jaguar hospitality tent.  Jaguar was a main event sponsor and I had a chance to drive the new F-Type R Coupe on an autocross track -- and it was impressive (more on that later). I didn't notice till I processed the photos, but this corner marshal is wearing a 24 Hours of LeMons t-shirt!

    The pictures are amazing! Except for the lack of the the roar of engines whipping arOund the track almost better than being there! Really really nice job Vince! Thanks for sharing them with us!
