Four cylinder Pontiac Fieros and Grumman USPS delivery vehicles were both saddled with the same push rod Iron Duke engine from General Motors. This engine had no business being in a sports car and groaned like a constipated hippo when you hit the loud pedal. Fiero's are ripe for engine swaps and many V8 conversions have been featured on these pages. Today's example took the swap road less traveled with the sophisticated GM DOHC four cylinder engine called the Quad Four. The engine was quite potent in W41 trim making 190 horsepower in the 1992-93 Old Achieva SCX and Old Cutlass Calais Quad 442.
